One of his early efforts was in a 1950's cliffhanger serial Zombies of the Stratosphere where he played an alien Narab. He had nowhere to go but up after that.
He went from that to Spock - from the ridiculous to the sublime.
Roxy, I remember him playing an Indian ( that's what they called them then) on Wagon Train. He was a very kind and considerate person. I remember meeting him briefly, When he directed Three Men and a Baby here in Toronto. Always made time for fans.
He is a shining example of taking something ordinary and making it extraordinary. I always enjoyed his TV work, and he has a very nice legacy. May he rest in peace, and always be remembered.
