For anyone who rushes, please post your experience and what seats you got as I'm curious as to whether it might be worth it for this show!

I didn't know that The Audience had announced a policy. What are the details?

Wow, I totally missed that. Thanks bfreak! The sites I usually frequent (Playbill Rush Policies, Broadway for Broke People) haven't updated their listing with that information yet. I'm very excited they're offering a rush, I'll definitely be trying to snag tickets. Here's are the official details from Playbill:

Do you think some seats have been set aside? If that isn't the case, I can't imagine the possibility of getting rush being a very good one. I'd assume this run is heavily sold.

Even though this is fairly well sold, on Telecharge it doesn't appear to be too hard to get into ala Elephant Man or Fish in the Dark.

Side question, I am a student in high school but have never student rushed a show before. Generally, does it have to be an international official student i.d. or could I show a card my school gave me that clearly states I am in high school in this current school year. I plan on rushing for Constellations, so I had MTC follow me on Twitter and I private messages them a photo of it and they said it was OK for them, but I'm not sure how it would fare elsewhere like this show. Thanks.

When I was a high school student, I had a student ID that stated my class and the year as well like yourself. I never encountered any issues using it for rush. Some policies explicitly state for college students only, but that doesn't appear to be the case here. You should be good!

In my experience, even the rushes that do explicitly ask for a college ID, don't care if it's a high school ID

I went last night and rush seats were in the side mezzanine. We were second row right on the far aisle-- they were partial view, but there was very little obstructed aside from some of Helen's costume changes.

Has anyone tried rushing recently? Curious to hear how popular of a rush it is.

I rushed two Sundays ago. Got to the theater around 1/2 hour before the box office opened and was 3rd in line. They said they had plenty of tickets to go around when the box office opened and the line was about 6 people deep. I can't say for certain, but it seems all/most student rush tickets are partial view. I got a partial view box seat on the right side of the stage. When I first sat down I was a little afraid I wasn't going to see Helen Mirren much, but it turned out fine. I just didn't see her when she was all the way to the side of the stage and sort of missed the comical moment of Thatcher making her entrance. The one regret I did have was missing some of the wardrobe changes the reviews are now raving about, but for the discounted ticket price i can accept that.I have no idea where any of the other rush seats are though, because the other 6 people I saw buy rush tickets were seated no where near me.

Has anyone rushed since her Tony nomination was announced? Any changes/new experiences?

"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage."
