College Students: Summer Intensive in Shakespeare + Ensemble Theater-Making

Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford is a summer intensive in Shakespeare performance and ensemble theater-making, defined by its interdisciplinary and collaborative approach.

The rigorous, ensemble-based program of study includes Shakespeare classes and ensemble performance workshops, as well as masterclasses in Voice, Movement, Clown, Devising, Ensemble Directing, Shakespeare Scholarship, and more. At the conclusion of the summer, students will perform Twelfth Night and Henry V in rotating repertory.

Resident on the grounds of the former American Shakespeare Festival Theatre in Stratford, CT, we are now accepting applications from college students and recent graduates to join our 14-person 2015 ensemble. Admission is by written application and interview -- we look for evidence of an applicant's curiosity, work ethic, creativity, and willingness to engage in a sustained ensemble development process.
