So you are worried about an audition that isn't scheduled, for a show that hasn't been announced because an underclassmen wants it to happen?
Seems like wasted energy instead. Why not simply focus on your repertoire? Preparing to performance standard a variety of songs: ballad, upbeat, quirky, etc so that you end up being prepared for just about anything.
Same goes with monologues. You don't need to prepare specifically for each audition if you have a repertoire.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
It sounds like your vocal range is similar to my daughter's, based on the role you're aspiring for and the suggestions you made. Mine is hoping for a Heathers opportunity to come her way as well. I told her not to hold her breath... it is soooo dark, and depending on who is performing it, they may encounter some issues.
The only one I don't know from your list is the Murder Ballad song (need to look that one up now). I love The Dark I know, definitely suitable for the standard 16 bars (which goes very fast). I also like Safer.
While it may not be age appropriate, have you considered anything from the last 5 Years? That's a favorite in our house. Or something from The Addams family (Pulled, or a piece from Crazier than you)?
