Well it's just a show so I wouldn't be angry, but I can only speak for myself, and not "y'all".
At any rate, I know of the person who asked at the stage door, and as of then it was true that Ms. Bowman's end date wasn't very far away, but things change. Don't know why that's worth lying about, but yes you are correct that there is room for error as I don't have Ms. Bowman's contract in my possession.
Regardless of when her contract is up, I hope that she doesn't hurt herself.
I just read that Caroline Bowman is injured and that Dwyer is coming in to replace her. Can anyone confirm if this is true, or just a rumor? If so, when does Dwyer start etc.
Alison luff as elphie on broadway would be a dream! But I think they would want Jennifer Dinoia to take the lead role on broadway first.

"Alison is in Matilda, Jennifer is doing the tour." I was talking about when Caroline finishes her run.

Caroline has been calling out quite a bit lately so I thought something significant might be going on. That's very interesting about Christine Dwyer coming back.
Depending on how long they need a replacement for, she's the perfect choice having just finished her contract. It was just announced that she is starring in Murder Ballad in DC starting early April so I'm assuming she won't be available after mid-March.
I believe you saw Carla Stickler tonight, glad she did well. She's the understudy and Lilli Cooper is the standby. Lilli Cooper has been on stage a lot lately but I think Stickler has gotten the call a few times too.
Yes, Carla Stickler was Elphaba tonight, and she is quite good. I saw one of her early performances on tour as an understudy.
I'm seeing the show Tuesday, and I'm curious about who I'll get. Sounds like it won't be Caroline. I like Christine a lot, but I've seen her twice already, so if she is coming back to help out, i selfishly hope she starts after Tuesday, but actors usually start on Tuesdays so who knows. I've also seen Carla Stickler, and wouldn't mind seeing her again. Hmmm.... I hope it's Lilli Cooper if not Caroline. I want to see someone new.
Christine is doing a play (2 Very Dangerous People Sharing 1 Small Space) this Sunday and Monday ... so if she really is returning it could be as early as Tuesday. If not I'd guess you'll see Lilli Cooper.
Also worth noting, it's been quite a month all over for Elphabas. Earlier this week it was announced that Jenny DiNoia (just back from her London run) has gone to LA to take over for Elphaba in the first national tour. Emma Hunton had been in an out, mostly out, a lot with illness. I think at one point Carla Stickler was even out there helping.
Would be pretty unique to have two takeovers simultaneously.
There has been lots going on with Wicked these last few weeks. Caroline is great, I like her voice and her performance. Personally, I am not a fan of Lilli and that is my personal opinion. Jennifer is fantastic and is my favourite Elphaba ( after Jackie who was my first Elphaba) She was phenomenal in London, Would Christine come back after such a short spell away from the production? Is it a wise move for her to come back, after how her voice was when she left even if we do all like her. I would love to see Donna Vivino return, she was a lovely Elphaba.
Kara's vlog will be very inconsistent with her neighbor across the hall...

I saw Christine Dwyer late in her run and didn't think she was having any vocal issues. She blew me back in my seat actually. I know she was really sick during the last week so maybe then.
Not only has it been an eventful week for those Elphabas, but Alyssa Fox from the second national tour had an asthma attack opening night in atlanta this week!
She did not even go on for the opening night in Atlanta. She stated that her allergies were acting up, which prevented her from being able to properly sing the score.
So what is the injury Caroline sustained, I hope nothing too serious. I can imagine after touring with Evita and jumping into Wicked that her voice could need a break.
Word is that Caroline has a back injury. So I'm guessing it's something she was trying to fight through over the past few weeks before deciding that she needed to take real time off to heal.
Christine Dwyer is on the Wicked website and I'm sure will be in Playbills this week.
I think Dwyer also posted a picture on her facebook fan page showing her name outside the theatre. I have also heard that she will only be in for 3 weeks. Makes sense because she begins Murder Ballad in DC soon.
Yeah there was a post on her fan page of the poster. She doesn't run that page though it's just a fan (but sanctioned I presume). She does connect pretty regularly with her fans via her personal Facebook and Instagram accounts and she put up Elphaba selfies during both acts of her first show back.
Murder Ballad previews start April 15 so with rehearsals for that I imagine she will only be in Wicked for a few weeks. She was actually also in a two night only play this Sunday and Monday. Busy gal. I think it's really cool that she went back to Wicked.
Gosh darn it! I guess my names for Kara's frogs aren't going to work. Better change the names from Cara and Karoline to Cara and Khristine.
