13 demos from Madonna's upcoming album have leaked.
1. Unapologetic Bitch 2. Bitch I'm Madonna 3. Addicted (The One That Got Away) 4. Borrowed Time 5. Heartbreak City 6. Illuminati 7. Joan Of Arc 8. Living 4 Love (Carry On) 9. Make The Devil Pray 10. Messiah 11. Rebel Heart 12. Revolution 13. Wash All Over Me
I have to say, even in their unfinished form, this album is light years ahead of her last 2 albums.
OK. All snark aside - I'm listening to this now and HO. LEE. SH!T. I almost want to cry. I mean, THIS is what I've been waiting a decade for. This is the album that will get me to shell out $400 when she tours next year.
Just wait, JC--the final version of the album will end up with none of your fave tracks
Seriously, Madonna--comparing this to rape? I would have thought she'd know better... Or maybe not. I am pretty sure, especially with her quick reply which she probably wrote last week, that this is her doing. Funny, the media seems to care far less than they would have even 3 years back...
I don't think I want to hear all of these demos - want some surprises when the (eventual) album comes out. Which are your favorite tracks, guys? I *did* listen to "Living for Love" which I LOVED. She's way, WAY behind on the house music revival, but I don't mind. Feels like such a natural for her - sounds like a Madonna feature on a Disclosure or Basement Jaxx song - and I mean that as a compliment.
Devil Prays, Heartbreak City, Joan of Arc, Borrowed Time, Rebel Heart and Living for Love are very good. I hope some of them don't change so much for final release.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
I agree Jordan, I just hope she sticks to this route, she's still writing and working with a lot of new producers, these are from such a long time ago. I don't want her to get too caught up in chasing the singles charts as it's pointless, the best moments on the last album Falling Free, Gang Bang, Love Spent etc) were when she just allowed herself to be free and not tied to commercial expectations.

i'm in love with the fact that every song has created its own world for itself. it's a signature madonna album. Very much the way 'Music' or 'American Life' hit me upon first listen.
It seems she really has worked on each and every song with sincere thought. Lyrically great, one of her strongest. she is definitely back.
I really also hope not much changes from these demos- they sound pretty close to perfect.
it was AMAZINg to hear them in my Bose headphones. truly amazing work.
and i'm a sucker for strings and when she uses live orchestral arrangements.
it's a little bit of everything. love love love.
event though the house or dub step stuff is ok or 'dated' she seems comfortable in it- and technically- madonna was doing house in the early 90's with 'rescue me' and 'erotica' so it's ok- she can revisit it again after 20 years with a fresh perspective
but this is far far better than MDNA or Hard Candy--
it's like those two albums never even existed after listening to this.
Not a big fan of Messiah, I think alongside the ballad/mid tempo ones it's the weakest, do like the orchestrations though. I really want Heartbreak City, Make the Devil Pray, Joan of Arc, Rebel Heart to make it to the album, sadly I feel she will dump a couple of ballads as she will stick with the dance music (the leaked dance stuff is the stuff I'm least impressed with apart from Living for Love and The One That Got Away). I hope I never have to hear Bitch I'm Madonna ever ever again, it's horrid.
I know if she keeps Heartbreak City on the album she will build the song up more in terms of orchestrations etc but I kinda wish she would just leave it as is, it's stunning
