I'm surprised there's no thread on this with the season finale next week!
I've really been enjoying this season and Natalie, someone I absolutely loathed on THE AMAZING RACE has proven herself to be a really incredible player here and really deserves her place on the list of strongest people to ever play the game. I'm truly impressed with her.

It has been a better season, imo. Natalie has really come into her own, but I wouldn't put her on a list with the best players yet. I'll have to see how she handles the next few moves. I thought Reed was doing quite well as an underdog, if that old coot had kept his mouth shut at tribal!

I dont understand why the survivors now feel compelled to give away strategies and secrets at tribal. In the early seasons, they'd never do that.

I think it's the people who feel the most insecure at tribal that tend to do that, but it is infuriating when they do.

And I think it's just been a little while since we've seen a player with the kind of balls Natalie has to pull off the moves she's tried to do (and succeeded with).

I'll definitely give her the big balls award for recent seasons, but Reed would've been a contender if he had gotten John out two weeks ago, although his move was more desperate, it would've changed the game.

I hope Keith gets embarrassed by Jeff at the finale for making such a boner.

I think the cockier players also tend to mouth off too much at tribal.

To be fair, tribal can go for an hour or more before they vote. We are seeing the VERY edited version. I interviewed some contestants before and they tipped me off just how much footage they get on some of this stuff...

I don't think it's ever going to secret how long tribal Council goes on for.

No, what I mean is that even in the "reunion" shows, they've always talked about how tribal can go on for hours and how edited down it is.

Yes, it's been talked about how long tribal is, just like judging on Top Chef, etc.

Does that explain why so many contestants are willing to show their cards at tribal? It's alot more than it used to be and annoys the crap outta me!

I'm glad there's finally a thread on this (I've just been insanely busy the year). My bf and I are yelling at the TV screen each week. Why did people let Jon and Jaclyn take control for SO LONG?!?! For weeks, they were the swing vote and they kept flipping, but nobody would target them! It was so frustrating! I think Reid basically shot himself in the foot by the time he tried to target Jon and Natalie got blocked the first time when Jon ended up winning immunity. But YAY for Natalie this week! That was a risky and complicated move. Unfortunately, it also favored Missy as they were able to accomplish it without Missy having to write down Jon's name.

I've been rooting for the twinnies from the start (always been a fan, despite their controversy) and Natalie is the only one I really want to see win at this point. Her gameplay reminds me a lot of Sandra, actually. Not a big fan of the others. I'm just worried that Natalie may have made too big of a threat of herself. Baylor and Jaclyn are going to be her biggest threats for the win at this point. Jaclyn was annoying, but was the strategic force of the couple (and even foreshadowed the blindside). Baylor has been strategically strong as well.

My biggest complaint this season is all the RIDICULOUS moves to give their spot in a reward to a losing team member. And they get to choose who goes! The strategy is so transparent and it looks like Jeff's control of the game is slipping. Even that one particular challenge where they all discussed how to play the game to select the winner in advance, so Jeff just cut the challenge short and ended it. Ugh.

YES! Thank you for bringing up Sandra. I knew she was reminding me of a player but I swear I couldn't put my finger on who.

I stood up in my apartment and applauded when Jon got voted out last night. He had it coming for a long time. Go Natalie!!

It must SUCK to be someone like Jaclyn who goes into a tribal just KNOWING she'll be in the top 3 and an hour later, knowing she's going to be the next one out. But she's really done nothing this entire game except sleep and depend on Jon for survival so there was no way anyone was ever going to write her name down for the money. The way it looks now, if Natalie can hang in there until the end, she'll be the clear winner.

Actually, Jaclyn was the one who kept shifting their strategy and Jon would concede pretty much every time. I think there was only one time they weren't on the same page and she gave him hell for it. Jon was the brawn and she was the brain of the duo. He was kinda spineless and she was physically worthless, but they were ALWAYS in a power position and got way too comfortable. I can't wait to see Jaclyn's freakout next week! If Natalie wants the best shot at winning, she probably needs Keith and Missy with her in the finale. Keith may have been strong at a couple of challenges, but he's been carried along for a while. Missy has really only been floating with her alliance and has never been a physical threat, sprained ankle or not.

I truly dislike Missy. When she sprained her ankle I was so happy that she'd just have to be taken out of the game, but sadly that didn't happen. Yet.

LOL. Her daughter isn't too much better, but at least she got her head out of her Mothers ass long enough to make up her own mind for once and make a smart move with Natalie.

Reed is abstaining from sex until marriage. I guess this is some backwards form of gay progress?!

I really hope the jury realizes that Natalie should win for being the only one to see that they had to get Jon out and managing to pull it off. However, I have Keith in my Survivor pool, so I'm also hoping he'll pull out a everyone hates the other choices win

Agreed. For a second I was nervous they were going to vote for Jaclyn. But I was really happy Natalie won.
I love how Reed forgave Reed forgave Missy at the reunion. Just like Jesus would!

I think Reed voted for Jaclyn so that Missy wouldn't win the second place prize.
Very glad Nat won!

Was there a favorite prize? Did Rupert win it again?

I'm glad Reed didn't bother apologizing, since he nailed them. Missy and her kid were so quick to get all emotional and amped up if you ever spoke against them, but they were also typically wrong. Missy making sure Baylor got more rice if she was hungry was a perfect example. Not be giving her her own rice, just more of everyone's rice.

I can't imagine Missy winning in any situation. She was brought along to the end as the non-threat.
