Was at 'visitors' at the bush theatre last night. Wow. What a show.
Linda Bassett is giving one of the best performances in London at the moment. Her second act deterioration is absolutely heartbreaking. The cast is uniformly strong, with Simon muller also judging his performance absolutely perfectly. It's a really well fleshed out piece of writing - the back and forth between the elderly couple and their son is absolutely captivating. The design is spot on as well. A little slow for the first 20 minutes or so - but when you sit through it all you can see why that is.
Go and see this! The best play I've seen in London for some time!
