Did you search trying:
Optional Start Date: (01/01/1980)
Optional End Date: (12/31/1980)
That might help narrow it down...

I saw it, but remember little about it. Thought it was okay. The only things I remember was the look of the show (i remember two tiers and a lot of scaffolding), that Derek Jacobi gave a fine performance, and that I bought cheap seats and moved down before it even started. I am pretty sure it was at the ANTA / Virginia/ August Wilson and got decent reviews.
As I remember, it was about responding to living in a Totalitarian state; not bad, just not memorable.
