I think that list is perfect!

Though if I had to give you a suggestion, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical! Updated On: 11/18/14 at 07:18 AM

Gentleman's Guide? Won the Tony Award last year.
Pippin?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

You Can't Take it With You is perhaps the most fun you will have at a play on Broadway right now.

Why did you pick the ones you did? What else are you interested in? Usually, it is a livelier discussion if you give people 9 show titles, and say you can only fit 5 into your schedule.

Otherwise, those all look like fine shows, without anything else to go on...

Unless you want discounts, or rush, etc., in which case some of those might not happen, dependent on when you're coming in December.

Great list of shows to see. I would get your Elephant Man ticket asap. It was really good.

I am probably going to be alone on this one, but skip Book of Mormon. See Beautiful, or go to Once or Pippin (both of which are closing in January).

OP, if you told us a little of your tastes, or shows you've enjoyed in the past, or even any remote bit of information about yourself, then maybe, just maybe, somebody could help you - but as it is, this thread is kind of pointless. Are you actually going to take any of these suggestions on board? Can't you make a decision yourself?

Good luck with your trip - be sure to report back.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in Night Time has amazing acting and production values, and is a show like no other on Broadway. I'd put it far above BOOK OF MORMON.

Sorry I have seen BOM and Curious. I loved BOM and also loved Billy Elliot. Updated On: 11/18/14 at 08:37 PM

If you've seen BOM, I would definitely see something different. There are lots of great options, Gentleman's Guide is a lot of fun, and for me the surprise of the season has been The Last Ship, the story ended up really moving me, and if you like Sting's music you'll absolutely love this production!

I'd see Cabaret or Curious Incident over Elephant Man. Bradley Cooper gives a good performance but the play is pretty slight and forgettable. Emma Stone is killing it as Sally and Curious Incident is the rare story that is both cerebral and crowd pleasing!

Agree with the others. BOM is going to live and tour forever, you'll be able to see it many more times in your life. Take this opportunity to see something you can only see in NYC.

That's a diverse group of shows. Nothing wrong with that.

Depending on what you have seen before and considering you live in Thailand, I would suggest switching Lion King for Aladdin as your Disney choice.

I would also suggest adding Kinky Boots, Matilda or Beautiful to your list.

Not to be confused with Dave19.

I am continually amazed at the lack of love on the boards here for BOM. It is among the best ive ever seen. brilliant on so many levels. don't go see ONCE.

curious incident was great, too. astounding that the actor could pull off everything that was asked of him in this production.

oh, I was also disappointed in gentlemen guide. I keep thinking I was just tired as it was the last show I saw on my 8 day trip. takes more concentration that one would expect. the cleverness must lie in the lyrics which I just couldn't follow enough to be satisfying. first show I have ever had trouble keeping my eyes open!!
