Can we talk? I know at least two other people have seen this.

Okay, so I watched season 2 of Big Brother Canada to see what all the fuss was about and I did enjoy it. The only thing I really didn't like was the "instant eviction" where there is no POV competition. But having Canada choose an HOH for one week was BRILLIANT. Giving the houseguests an opportunity to know what how the were perceive completely changed the game.

Then...I backtracked on watched season 1 (just finished it a few minutes ago), which was far superior. But that finale. That was SO FREAKING TRAGIC. What a clusterf*ck. It was nuts on so many levels. For many reasons both good and bad, it is probably the one Big Brother season of any Big Brother world-wide that is must-see. Absolutely unreal.

I watched half of season two, but I stopped after a while only because I found out who won. I saw past the crazy episode with the letters and the shredder. What was her name? Inka? Did they ever find out that Allison was living in the walls?

I haven't gone back to watch season one but I am all in for season three, whenever that starts.

I did see that season one finale part where the girl totally screwed up her vote.

I didn't even know there was a Big Brother Canada.

Not that I ever watched the original US show either.

Phyllis - Season one is way more interesting than season two. Aika truly got what she deserved in season 2 and I REALLY liked Allison (they didn't find out about her living in the secret room until the finale). But by the time they got to final 4 or 5, it was pretty boring through to the end. Season 1 just kept getting better and better as it went along. And it was fascinating to watch how many of them do a complete 180 in their personalities. Two of the biggest "favorites" for much of the season turned into the biggest douchebags. It was nuts.

bwayto, thanks for bringing so much to the conversation.

Re: Big Brother Canada I actually enjoyed it more than the most recent seasons of the US version. My first exposure to it was season 2 but I went back and started watching season 1 at the same time. So glad that the finale never was spoiled for me because it was one of the best things I've ever seen on reality tv.

Does anyone know if/when season 3 will start?

Did anyone watch?

Great twists so far. Much better than BB US has been in a long while. The guys are so much hotter too. Helloooo Zach. I'm already hating Sindy (with an S) and Pilar (her laugh is unbearable).

Loved the first two evictions.  Not sure if I'm caught up yet, but I hate that an instant eviction is coming.  It's the one feature in the Canadian version I really dislike.  The fact that nobody gets a shot at Veto for random evictions really puts certain players at a disadvantage.

My gut tells me I should hate Kevin, but I can't!  He's so freakin' cute!  The highlight so far was Kevin overhearing the girls plotting.  Priceless.  Cougar and Cindy-With-An-S were just too obvious and over-the-top.  They were embarrassing to watch.

I haven't seen last night's yet, so I don't know who the new HOH is yet.

I like Kevin, too, even though the words "professional poker player" turn me off.  I think Naeha looks like Idina Menzel, if Idina Menzel had been smashed in the face with a frying pan.

The only person I really don't like is Graig and not just because of the way his name is spelled.

Naeha makes me laugh because she always looks so SOUR despite her efforts at makeup and grooming.  She's an NWB: Narcissist Without Basis.

Graig is just an aggressive oaf.  He'll hop on any bandwagon that gives him the opportunity to be testosterony and wear ugly glasses.

I truly appreciate Canada's obsession with shirtless guys in tight stretchy shorts.  Thank you, Canada.  We love you.  And am I the only one who can't stop staring at Kevin's nipples?  The way they seem to point at the floor really does something for me, though I can't say why.

When you guys find out who the new HOH, nominees and POV winner are you're going to die. It's too good.

I'm pretty much in love with Kevin. The bathroom scene ranks up there with the Topaz voting scandal. I love his openness with Johnny even though I didn't like how he slinked away to make out with nasty Pilar. I do kind of love the Bromuda Triangle name.

It seems to me that BB Canada players make a billion alliances right away.

Graig is literally the worst and it's only partly due to the (mis)spelling of his name. I hate players that come onto reality shows with a catchphrase or a character. The Ginger Ninja gots to go!

I don't know if I'd rank it that high, but I'd put it up there with the time Anick trash-talked everyone in the house while not knowing she was being broadcast in the living room.  That was FABULOUS.

Fair enough. I'd put it up there with the Ika check trash talking instead.

The Topaz scandal is like one of the top moments of reality TV history.

Ika!  That's who I meant!  She was a real piece of work.  I saw her in the audience on the first episode this season.  She's like the Omarosa of Canada.

Here is that classic scene:

Okay, I finally got caught up from the past couple of weeks and WTF?!?!  The producers are having a lot of fun pulling the rug out from under the house guests each week, but holy crap, what's the point of strategizing any more?  I'm thrilled for Queen B, who is my pick to win now that Kevin's out (which saddens me greatly).  But that triple eviction followed by the Safe power (basically awarded to one of two house guests by the viewing audience), putting people on the block with no veto comp or opportunity to campaign, sorta rubs me the wrong way.  I'll admit it's been fun to watch everything go down and Canada seems to be determined to completely shake up what everyone knows and expects from the game.

Queen B is play really smart and far more logical than anyone else left in the house.  But now she's going to be hanging on by her fingernails.  Her biggest competition is still Zach and Godfrey.  And how is it that Godfrey continues to fly under the radar?  He's such a bad liar.  I would have targeted him WEEKS ago.

Having only ever watched one other American Big Brother, I don't have a lot of thoughts on strategy, so  I don't mind the way Big Brother keeps forcing the house to flip.  This latest double-eviction played out exactly the way I was hoping.  I want Brittnee and Sarah for final two, and I think Sarah should win.

Also, though she was a floater to the 98th power, I'll miss Pili.  She never took anything personally and she made me smile.  I do love how nice everyone is to each other.

Pili may not have much going on upstairs, but she is joy personified and though I usually hate showmances, I actually sorta thought she and Kevin made a great pair.

I'd be happy if either Brit or Sarah won.  I think they were both pretty evenly matched with Brit just slightly edging out Sarah.  Brit threw down the gauntlet earlier than Sarah and had been under the gun whether as a pawn or quickly becoming a target for a LOT longer.  Godfrey is the wild card.  I can't believe nobody targeted him.  If he makes it to the final two, I can't imagine him losing.  He'll easily sway the jury in the final Q&A.

I would be really pissed off if Godfrey won since he did literally nothing the entire season. It's really easy for someone to be like "I'm just going to throw every challenge" but it seems like when his back has been against a wall the last few weeks he still hasn't been able to pull one out.

I'm not a huge fan of Sarah's game so I'd prefer Brittnee to win.

It'll be interesting to see what Twistos twists are still left when the jury goes to vote.

I actually found a store that briefly sold Twistos in Chicago.  They are incredibly addictive.  The store only had them for about 2 weeks.  They flew off the shelves but haven't been in stock again since.
