How about the fact that over the years many worthy shows did not get a nomination ?
There are no dark forces at work here.

Wait to see all the eligible shows
Wait to see the nominations
Why assume racism for something that might not even happen?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Plus, Bengal Tiger was ambitious but... strange.
The new plays which were awarded nominations that year were:
War Horse
Good People
Jerusalem
The Mother****er With the Hat
The only one I didn't see was MotherF*CKer. But I definitely would have been shocked if they gave Bengal Tiger a nod over the other 3 deserving plays.
