Hey all!

I realize "The King and I" hasn't opened yet so no one can tell for sure but for previous shows, does anyone know how Orchestra, Row A, 101 and 102 are? The box office told me they are terrific since we have a thrust stage and the shows are staged so everyone has a great view. They just told me to stay away from seat 108. Thanks all for your help!

Do you mean Orchestra Row C 101 and 102? From what I can tell, C is the front row, and there is no row A or B? I bought seats in row C for King and I.

I did mean row C. Thanks for correcting me on that. Glad to hear you also got row C. I think they'll be fine but just wanted to know from people who sat there.

I purchased C103 & 104. This is where I sat for Warhorse and the seats were great.

At the Beaumont, for this forthcoming revival of KING & I, Row C is, indeed, the front row of the orchestra section.

The 100's and the 500's are the far-side sections. 200's and 400's are the left and right of center, and the 300's are the "center" section of the thrust stage.

I have C108. Beaumont seating question please

Obviously it's extreme side, but in that theater I figured it wouldn't be terrible.

Did they say why to stay away from that specific seat?

HBBrock, The representative from the theatre said at seat 108 in row C in the past people have complained they see too many backs or extreme sides of people, however, in each new show they try to block it differently to avoid that from happening too often.

Melissa25, I'm glad to hear 103 and 104 were great for Warhorse.

Beaumont seating question please

The 100's and 500's are not ideal, but the lower seat numbers (101 and 102) are not as bad as the higher numbers. Here is a view of the Beaumont stage for South Pacific, which had the same director and designers as The King and I will have. You can see that the extreme side sections are really on the side of the thrust part of the stage.

I've never sat in those extreme side sections, but there is going to be some side view aspect to what you're seeing. How much that is a factor will depend on the final staging as well as how much that kind of thing annoys you, as well as what your other options are. But I would definitely stay away from high row numbers, high seat numbers for those two side sections. As you can imagine from the photo, sitting in the last row in the theater in the seat closest to the stage is not a good view.

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

mikem, that picture really does show it well. Thanks for providing it! It does seem to me 101 and 102 are the best in that side area, but as you said, it all depends on the final staging.

Now I just wish the show would open now, so I could see one lf my favorites again!

I have never been in this theatre. Are the last two rows of the loge far from the stage? By the seating chart and this picture, it looks like the theatre is more wide.

When I booked mine online the seating plan offered a 'view from your seat' option so you could try their online booking system to get an idea of the view
