Is it possible for any female to sing soprano? |
I think that if you work hard enough you probably could. When I was younger, I was only a soprano and I wasn't a very rangey soprano either. I didn't even really have a chest voice, but I worked really hard and my range now expands over alto, mezzo, and soprano, and I can sing soprano notes I never thought I would be singing a couple years ago. My advice is to sing every day, and try to push yourself as much as you can without damage. Also, find a really good vocal teacher. I had a great vocal teacher who heard my soprano and still felt like I had some belt in me. She worked me really hard, but it was worth it.

Consider yourself lucky. Most girls nowadays despise being a soprano. They desperately want to belt. (not saying a soprano can't belt, but you know what I am saying)
Working hard will expand your range, but my analogy has always been this...
Your voice type is like your sexual orientation. You may desperately want to change it, but once you accept what you are, you will be much happier.
