"Be Part of Shooting a New Episode for Dance Moms Season 5! Experience a Day with Abby Lee Miller and the cast of Dance Moms!"
So you want me to pay $25 to be in the audience while you shoot an episode of Dance Moms when I can be in the audience for Kimmel, Fallon and Letterman etc. for free?
Uh, OK on 2 conditions. 1) Abby Lee Miller gives us a presentation on the importance of people involved in teaching dance being themselves physically fit and what she does to stay in such great shape, and 2) If she screams and brings to tears a minimum of 3 seven year olds during the course of the day. I just love it when she makes those little brats cry while she crushed their dreams.
Tazber-I am a regular watcher and I don't like children that much, but Abby is too much. The girl from Sia's video for Chandelier is on the show and dances for her. Abby has a really creepy obsession with her.

I've only seen bits but, while I have no doubt many ofher students are talented, two questions always occur to me. One--does Abby EVER dance? An two--why oh why do we have so many of these aqful, oversexualized routines for little kids (or little girls in her case--does she even accept male students?)
No, Abby does not dance. Cannot answer about the oversexualized dances. People seem to think that it's cute, when it isn't. There actually is 1 episode they do not show or put on the DVD set for that reason. The episode was titled Topless Showgirls, and that is essentially was a bunch of girls between the ages of 8 & 13 were doing, except they had on nude colored bra tops. That actually got a lot of complaints from viewers, I believe. And I do believe there are some male dancers, none in starring roles of the show though. But, there have been a few here and there for 1 episode or so.

No, JerseyGirl. Justice's parents wizened up and got him off the show. Candy Apples has a team comprised entirely of dancers recruited to appear on the show now. Abby did the same with a second competition team.
Yes, Abby still has an unhealthy obsession with Maddie. I know the show is fake, but she gets so pissed off when Chloe beat her once that she had the scores changed in Maddie's favor. And this past season she attempted to use Chloe's popularity to sway the judges to get another girl she was favoring that week to win. It was insane and hypocritical because she loves when Maddie wins and she also has a large fan following.
Spoiler alert
I knew Chloe was just going to the studio to film the show and wasn't actually dancing anymore for real. But, apparently she is now dancing at a better studio, which means she and Christi will be gone. I think they did themselves a favor of not renewing a contract.
End spoiler

I gave up on the show long ago. I can't imagine seeing that monster live, much less PAYING to be subjected to her. She wears cruelty like a badge of honor. And that Kathy psycho at Candy Apple's [sic] isn't any better. Her brand is all about vengeance and doing literally ANYTHING for camera time. They are equally vile and worthless. It's a shame that talented kids are being wasted on them both and subjected to their madness.

I still watch this show. Can't seem to give it. If you go back and watch the first season - it's pretty amazing to see the show before it fell victim to every reality TV trick in the book. The first season actually played as a gripping docuseries. Season two is when they started using the standard staged reality tricks found on every Bravo, VH1, and E show. Not much is realistic about it anymore.
I know the competitions they show now are invitationals set up for the show. It isso they can put the girls up against studios worse than theirs so they can usually do so well. And so people expect the filming. But I did read it was true that Abby did go to the judges at one to get them to change Chloe's score so she wouldn't win, but they refused.
