Does anyone have any really good recipes for braised green cabbage? I'm making it tonight and seem to have lost my old recipe. I'm making it with Keilbasa and Pierogies.

1. Get some green cabbage.
2. Braise it.

Super simple. Slice the cabbage thin. Use a large enough frying/saute pan. Cut the cabbage into somewhat thin strips. Coat the pan with olive oil and while cooking the cabbage down add salt and pepper. Cook over a medium heat. Its the only way I cook cabbage. Braised Green Cabbage

It makes your house smell farty.

No, it's the farts that smell farty.

Take 4-5 slices of bacon and chop them up- brown them and set them aside. Put your chopped cabbage in that pan and saute for 3-4 minutes. I like to add a can of cut up tomatoes and about a half-cup of chicken stock, then cover and braise until your cabbage is tender. Add back your bacon and serve.

It's also good made with some cut-up smoked sausage in place of the bacon. I also like to add a couple tablespoons of red wine vinegar and a teaspoon of caraway. If you add in a couple cut up Yukon gold or red potatoes, you've got a whole meal in a pot. I like to make a lot then add chicken stock to the leftovers the next day to make soup- adding a couple tablespoons of brown sugar to do that sweet-n-sour thing.
