"I predict she (Rosie O.) will be gone from The View by January.
And I predict Whoopi will.
And I predict Whoopi will.
"One Man's Turd is Another Man's Treasure"
Rosie only signed a one year contract. I guarantee if she doesn't get he way by mid-season she doesn't return, just like the first time.
A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.

Reportedly, Whoopi has been dying to get out of this gig for some time, but they keep throwing $$$ at her to stay.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Whoopi has said on the record she collects a paycheck and doesn't give crap about The View. And she did so long before O'Donnell came back.

I haven't seen the view--sorry The View, until this morning. Things seem to be fine--but I know I used to comment on backstage fighting on other shows, so...

It's still more interesting than the Talk!
Seems they are starting to mesh well in my opinion. Far more interesting than the fluff called "The Talk."
Whoopi is going to have to adjust to having a group of informed, opinionated, and, dare I say, intelligent women at the table with her. With Elisabeth and Jenny and Sherri and Barbara, Whoopi really was the voice of reason and reality. Now she has to compete with 3 other women who generally know what they're talking about, and she's going to have to adjust to not being the only smart woman in the room.
the show just isn't that exciting anymore to watch. Hasn't been in years. If Whoopi & O'Donnell want out after this season, it might be better to cancel the show. Though ABC doesn't have anything to air in the daytime anyway(in the NY area we get an hour of the 12:00 news & the evening news comes on at 4:00pm with a repeat of Jeopardy @ 2:30pm).

ABC should just do a third hour of GMA. They pack so much into 2-hours. They just need to find their Hoda and Kathie Lee.
I've been watching The View for a while.
I find Nicolle Wallace refreshing. I didn't think I'd like her when they announced that she was coming on, but I find her very grounded.

I like her as well. The show is doing ok in its ratings. Just loosing some ground in their desired women age demographic. But I hope they keep at in the same way. It has been smart and I have really enjoyed their discussions. Oh and interesting that someone mentions GMA.. since they attempted to recruit Hoda for the View.

I have not seen todays. But I thought Lea Delaria yesterday was perfect.
Lea wasn't auditioning, I will say though she seemed so relaxed and fit in with ease.
In regards to Nicolle, I agree! So refreshing and funny too!

I'm watching today's episode now. I don't think Jordin added a ton to the conversation, but I think it's a great idea to add a younger 5th cohost.
I caught the Stevie Wonder interview yesterday and thought it was phenomenal and should set a standard for how all musicians should be interviewed- putting them around the piano made for such a great dynamic.

The biggest shock has been Nicole Wallace. She's smart, always up-to-speed, entirely measured, articulate, never smug, and is the antithesis of the Republican voices on the show in in the past (i.e., all of the qualities mentioned). The Nicole-Whoopie-Rosie O interaction is invariably adult, with polite deference to differing opinions. Perez is no train wreck, but she has an edge that's not always in sync with the show, perhaps the idea. I enjoyed her the first month, she was the anti-Shepard, and I've been impressed with some of the content of her remarks; but for me, Perez off-stage/screen is an acquired taste, and not all that enjoyable on a daily basis. And I'm a fan of her acting (her performance in FEARLESS still haunts me.)
