I really don't see what Haines brings to the show besides a pleasant personality. Sunny Hostin is more more effective. And I love the new conservative from Fox News on this week, I don't know her name at the moment, but she's making a strong impression.
I forget her last name but you're referring to Jedidiah. I do like her, but as far as I know she's just filling in.
Haines has a better personality than Collins & Hostin. I think, in general, people like Haines. Can't say they same for Collins & Hostin. They don't need another conservative on the panel, they already have Bure & Faris. Hostin can continue to fill in when needed along with Sims & Shepherd.
I thought they were on fire today. Loved that they were getting hate tweets from Trump. I bet their ratings are thru the roof.
I thought for sure they were going to have to pull Whoopee of him at some point!
I agree to an extent, but it's also unfair for Paula to infer that the panel isn't well balanced. With Paula, Candace, and Jedediah in rotation, there has been more conservative viewpoints now than the show has ever had at one time.

Both were still part of the panel during the eligibility period, which was Jan-Dec 2015

The Carson episode was one of the most potent and riveting ever, due in no small part to his erratic and absolutely contradictory defense of his support for Trump. Whoopi pushed, and the more she did, the less sense he made. Watching Ferris every day, I am baffled by her behavior. She wants to be cool, wants to be liked for being an aw shucks geek lite; yet she schools and scolds at every turn, sometimes (like the heated talk about Flint) denouncing supposedly unnecessarily political discourse when the topic is decidedly political. She is educated and bright, but comes off as clueless about the intersection of politics and solution-based crisis solving, obsessed with the idea that if elected leaders are determined to be accountable, it's (unfairly) "political" (It reminds me of locals in NJ during Super Storm Sandy, when mayoral failures pissed everyone off, and people rose up to say "hey, don't make this political!"
. And yeah, Whoopie is clearly tired of her Paula-splaining at every turn.
So I gather that the rotating panel thing is now the way they choose to go? I miss Michelle Collins when she is not there, Candace doesn't seem to add much. She just keeps quiet when she disagrees with something. I must say.. I also enjoyed the shows when Whoopi was out sick and Joy moderated.

There seem to be three chairs with rotating hosts. Candace is barely present when on, and though it seemed at first as if she was waiting to find her footing, she never did. She gets enthused and vocal only when turning the show into an infomercial for her sitcom revival, which got as much air time as any topic, bizarrely. She basically adds nothing, and though she get red faced when she feels her religious POV will not be accommodated, the real issue is a lack of intellectual gravitas and the absence of curiosity. You can have any position on a show of this nature -- why Wallace was so successful as a conservative voice -- but being uniformed leaves you mute.
will there ever be an episode where all six co-hosts are at the table?? Doubtful, and I'm still wondering why Collins isn't on more instead of Hostin. It's not like Collins has a busy schedule. I'm guessing she's not coming back next season and was only a temporary filler when O'Donnell left. Replace her with Haines & replace Bure with Hostin in September.

I think Candy will be back tomorrow. She was off shooting a hallmark movie. With all their substitute options, seems like the producers are fine with the hosts taking off to work on other projects.
The chemistry seemed off today, definitely an odd combination of cohosts. Like her or not, the show really lacks something without Joy's presence.
so I guess Joy's on vacation this week?? I'm not a fan of Joy in general, but I'm really liking this week's shows without her. Joy, IMO, tries to take over the show and attempts to become the focal point(host) of the show. Without her, the debating seems more balanced & today's hot topics were fantastic. Everyone at the table was on fire.
She's filming a movie this week. I was backstage today, GREAT energy behind the scenes and on camera.

^Fully agree. And, Joy helps me deal with the aforementioned rotational hosts.
And I actually enjoy the show more without Joy. There seems to a balance with their Hot Topics.
I do not like Joy either, she never lets anyone speak and is very disrespectful to guests and cohost that do not agree with her. Even Rosie would let a person finish before she disagreed.
