They let her talk. They also did what too few journalists do, and that's demand real-time fact checking. They had every right to halt her when she started her unproven diatribe (lie) about Planned Parenthood and fetal body parts. The same rant she should've been called out for by real journalists in the formal debate. Behar was appropriately armed with fact-based questions. Fiorino countered with bizarre comments on women not needing a better minimum wage, but "a meritocracy." I guess the people at McDonald's should be asked to do more for their eleven bucks. Whatever. I was happiest with Whoopi. Carly: "Whoopi, I've always loved your movies." Whoopi: "And I've ... always loved ... my movies, too. Thanks for being here."

A Presidential candidate saying, essentially, "do you want a a President who looks like THAT" is is quite different than a comedian saying "did you see the expression on that candidate's face? It was terrifying."
I am not a fan of THE VIEW, but I give most of the ladies kudos for calling Fiorina out on her blatant, proven lies. It is a shame that we must rely on bloggers, indie media and comedians to hold a candidate's feet to the fire because most of the large media is so concerned with "having access".

I'm not pro her by any means, but if you're going to ask a question and then cut her off because you don't agree with the answer doesn't seem like good journalism to me?
They are not journalists. Nor do they pretend to be. It's The View. And besides the satellite delay they only interrupted when she started with the lies and they called her on it. I thought they did great.

I thought they were mean spirited from the get-go. And I was only saying journalist because it sounded like Auggie was calling them journalists.
I normally side with The View, but it just struck me weird, that's all.

Well, one's a journalist. But my post actually says, they did what too few journalists do, call her on her facts. My distinction suggests they went after what debates had failed to adequately pursue. I'm glad they overreached, as Dame states. I fully agree.

I finally watched the CF snippet from last week. She didn't come off very well. On another note.. why does Whoopi take forever to get her questions out? It is almost as if she were constipated.

I will fully own my sociopolitical biases, but cannot stand a single word Bure says. And I was absolutely riveted to Wallace. The show's new focus on providing the "Christian" POV about just about everything is mind-numbing. The ludicrous conversation on intelligent design was the last such moment I care to watch. Bure was smug, all-knowing, and then wouldn't explain what she "knows." I find her insufferable.
Joy Behar made Candy look like a complete idiot today by simply asking her to explain how intelligent design and science are compatible. Candy's response involved some nonsense about visiting the Creation Museum (where, for the record, men are depicted riding around on dinosaurs as if they're horses).
Edited to comply with Namo's request.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."

"Go to the creationism museum, and then you'll see the counter argument."
A new low in The View and the world as we know it. And please watch that clip, and tell me what the hell Faris is doing trying to halt the conversation to talk about Joy's looks and hair? That really ups the intellectual ante, doesn't it? A journalist sidestepping a conversation about evolution to address a woman's looks? It's like an SNL parody. And when Candy Bar is confronted, she herself goes all Ben Carson on everyone, "don't ask me to explain!" I wouldn't ask her to take the trash out.
" and tell me what the hell Faris is doing trying to halt the conversation to talk about Joy's looks and hair?"
I think she was just kissing ass.

" Steven Colbert And The President believe in Creation, I doubt Joy would roll her eyes at them.

If you compare this to Colbert talking religion with Bill Maher from last week, there aren't nearly in the same league as far as religiosity.

I guess you just didn't love him enough, Elissssabeth. But it's okay, all family values football players cheat. It's part of god's plan.
