well, Whoopi's contract has one more year, so she better start fighting ASAP to get out of it before the new season starts. I believe the new season is scheduled to start Sept. 7.

I have friends at The View and I can tell you I wouldn't be shocked if this were true. She loved Wallace and was very upset she was let go.

without Whoopi, the show would have nothing to stand on & I would only imagine would quickly be cancelled. Honestly, who would tune in to watch Raven, Michelle, Candace, Paula & Sherri??

They just tweeted that Joy will be back next season, along with Whoopi, Raven, Michelle, DJ Tanner, and Paula Faris.

Yeah, 6 seems like a bit much. I wish they would clarify whether they will be rotating or not.

From my understanding from talking to my friends at the show there will be 6 at the table (giving these 6 the opportunity to do other projects and not have to have numerous fill in co-host) but if need be the contributors will step in. However, if the table is "full" the contributors will be just that, contributing. Segments here and there based on their specialities.

I can tell you this. Joy Behar was a solid no. Then they let Wallace go and knew to keep Whoopi happy and around she needed a buddy.

It's the only good decision they've made recently. That and going live on Fridays. But I still won't watch because of Raven Symone and Candace Cameron Bure. They're both insufferable. And Whoopi isn't far behind.

I'm expecting Whoopi to leave after this season since her contract will be up. I think ABC drags the show along with it's 20th anniversary and then it'll be gone.

I bet the "6 hosts" including "Joy returning" decisions are related to the "5 live tapings a week including Fridays," because Whoopi probably demanded to keep a 4-day workweek in order to stay, amid all that madness.  She'll probably be off on Fridays, just watch.

They have to stop pitching it as a "revamp " every September as long as that lump Whoopi "Let me tell ya bout The View. I show up. I leave. I get a check." Goldberg is sitting there. She's not part of the solution.

I had that taped off HBO and I had the cassette tape.  I loved it so much.  She brought up Baby Jessica and reminds people she's the baby that fell in a well.  When the audience gasps at the way she described her, she responded, "I didn't push her. The bitch fell" which I found so terribly funny.
