I also think Nicolle Wallace is a great edition. She's a Republican, but she's not a Fox News Republican. She thinks Sarah Palin is an idiot, she supports gay marriage and legalized marijuana. She's agreeable and rational and... normal. I'm sure the producers were hoping there would be more blowouts between Nicolle and Rosie O, but they agree to disagree-- perhaps too often.

Whoopi's behavior last week was so bizarre; I haven't seen today's episode.

How do you all think this Rosie Perez thing is going to play out? Will the 5th cohost be a young Latina? I think they need a young Republican.

I would be willing to ber, come fall, there will be 2 new co-hosts. One being a young Republican as someone mentioned and the other being a young Latina woman.

Plain and simple, Perez didn't work and ABC is kicking themselves for not sticking with Gonzalez. If they were smart, they would have stuck with SE Cupp as well.

I was reading that one of the rumors circling around is that The View will be cancelled and a extra hour of Good Morning America will be added. Didn't they try that before? I really think they need to move Whoopi over as a panel member, let Rosie moderate, and whomever they are going to add needs to be done soon and then they need to stick with the panel for a while. The musical chairs don't help. And there should be more of a effort for everyone to be there every day.

No, it was prerecorded. Hot Topics were with the same panel from yesterday, Ne-Yo gave an encore performance, and they also used two segments with Rosie O'Donnell which both seemed to have been filmed before yesterday.

I think Rosie O'Donnell makes a great moderator and it may be time for Whoopi to go, perhaps next season. Same for Rosie Perez, whose absence I've never missed since she began rehearsals. Keep Nicolle Wallace, I like her. Bring in two or three new people next season. Would love Laverne Cox the most, wish they could get that worked out.

Cristela Alonzo is back for most of next week to co-host. I mentioned earlier in this thread that I think she's been one of the best fits so far. Seems like they are giving her a real test next week.

I haven't been able to catch The View with my new work schedule, but I did see that Joy came back. I wasn't aware that Rosie Perez was gone. She has nothing to offer so I'm not missing her.

I think the show has felt lively, and agree: Whoop is straight, and not doing the Courtney Love after a bender thing. Perez is still always tightly wound, like someone stepped on her foot just before she sat down. (She won't look at Nicole, anyone notice? Ever.) But that's my take on her. I enjoy her performing, and think she's bright and articulate; just hard to take 5 days a week.

I do notice that Perez won't look at Wallace if she doesn't have to. Personally I wouldn't mind if Perez was let go and Cristela joined permanently.

I haven't noticed Rosie P. not looking at Nicholle, but I'll be checking that out. So, if she does refuse to look at her, why? Because she's a republican? How unprofessional of Rosie - suck it'd up dear, you're on tv.

Also, I haven't noticed anything remarkable about Cristela. Time will tell, I guess.

I haven't been told this from behind the scenes it's just an assumption but I assume because Wallace is the breakout star not Perez.

I think part of the problem is that they have 3 show-biz people on the panel. They need to balance it out with some civilians. Nicolle's outsider perspective is nice.
