A New "View" Starts Today |
Better?? The View/ABC haven't said anything about who's actually coming & going for next season, so do you really expect something from them??
Exactly, The View/ABC HAVEN'T said anything so all these articles are speculation and recycled gossip.
ABC likely won't announce anything officially until the show's on it's summer hiatus in August.

So for next season we have Whoopie, Raven, and Sherri? So, instead of a "new" view, we're having 3 actresses who can't find work, and they're all 3 the same race. So we're not really going to have a bunch of different opinions? Ugh. I wish we could get Meredith and Lisa back.
they have three: Whoopi, Raven & Michelle. Sherri, Molly Sims, Candace Cameron-Bure, Stacey London & Paula Faris will be rotating the 4th/5th seat.
so is that rotating host thing just a filler for when someone needs time off?? Such a shame they're basically replacing Perez with Farris & Wallace with CCB. The show's chemistry has been great this week. It's a shame they basically have to start over come September.
Agreed, I thought they were rocking this week.
From what I was told Farris doesn't want to leave GMA so she's only committing to 4 days a week, CCB is TBD as Netflix has her held down in LA. So with that being said I assume the "rotating host" are still a plan.

How many shows has Paula Faris been a guest host? In the couple times that I saw her, she couldn't get a word in.
basically, but it's been confirmed everywhere except by ABC. I hope them drinking during Hot Topics stays for the last 2 weeks, it was a lot of fun today.
I was talking to a friend who works in TV and we were discussing why ABC has yet to say anything. What do you all think? My theory was she's asked for them to wait till the hiatus to announce it so she doesn't have to on air OR she's got something in the works and waiting for it to become official so she can leave and say, "BUT my new show starts on blah blah."
I've just assumed that what the initial reports said is correct, that she hasn't been asked back to a full time position, but the door is open to that "revolving co-host" chair that Sherri Shepherd and others seem to be taking. If that's the case, and the plans are that Wallace will continue to have a role with the show next season, but in a more limited capacity, then it makes sense that they wouldn't want a big, teary farewell.
Yikes. I randomly turn on The View, and Nicole Wallace says "No wonder they fired me" when forgetting to name George Clooney on an old ER magazine cover. It was pretty awkward. I can't imagine it feels good having to finish out a job knowing you're fired.
Nicole Wallace (who I vehemently disagree with 95% of the time) is far too intelligent for the current level of discourse on this show. With Candace, they're going back to the level of intelligence that Hasselbitch brought to the show because she's more likely to provide a sound bite that'll generate "buzz." Wallace's comments were thoughtful and articulate, and couldn't be easily condensed.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."
Wallace was pretty straight forward the day she got fired. Basically without saying she got fired, she addressed the fact that she didn't know who the Kardashians were and she had a lack of pop culture knowledge. Most reports that addressed her getting fired said she was let go due to her lack of pop culture knowledge.

Nicole was the only republican I could stand. And that includes my own brother.
GREAT show today! Crowd was on fire and the ladies were bringing it! If they would have had shows like that every day they'd be in a better place.
yes, they were all great today. I LOVED when Whoopi was talking about the model giving a crappy interview and Whoopi says "no, I'm famous!!". That was fantastic!!

It is good TV today. Goldberg is in rare and welcome form, and they are all taking a number to smack The Raven upside her head. Her bizarre defense of the petulant model-actress brought out the best in Wallace and Whoop.
I was actually at today's show. Whoopie let Raven have it in that segment. Did they show the standing O we gave Whoopie when she fired back the SHE was a star? What you may not have seen all of was Raven's facial expressions while Whoopie was talking. During the break the conversation continued at the table. And Raven was wrong. It is called professionalism and that actress was not displaying it. It has nothing to do with being "old school".
It was a giveaway day so that was fun also! We got the X A,bassadors' cd and a voucher for the DVD of Disney's Descendants, which I think airs tomorrow night.
