I like Collins but can't watch Raven. She is a idiot.

I've warmed to Collins, too. Sorry I missed the drama today. Let's face it, The View is now reality television.

I am going to miss Rosie Perez. After reading her book, I respect her even more having overcome a terrible childhood. I think she is a great actress and admire her for her charity work.

^Her performance in Fearless still moves me to tears (kissing the toolbox!). But is she a host? She's smart and articulate, but doesn't really play well with others.
Raven was fighting with that crazy bitch Candice Cameron about gay marriage. Raven was on the right side, but she was completely inarticulate. We need someone much better to represent our side.

So, "snatch" means "brows" all of a sudden? Back in the day, it meant (how can I put this delicately)...below the belt area. Which is what I thought she meant since she was talking about Spanx. I thought it was a gross comment and yes, Whoopi didn't blink and I thought that was weird. I can't believe production allowed her to say it without bleeping.
Rosie has been gone half the season with her Broadway play, so it's not surprising that she probably was given some kind of ultimatum with regard to keeping either one commitment or the other. I thought that the rumors would end in her leaving, but by her own choice. I still think it basically was, considering she considers herself an actress first, and wanted to try The View. And I thought her insights--especially considering being a minority, and her openness about her tragic childhood that SO could have gone another way than her turning into an intelligent, accomplished celebrity--were different perspectives than the other hosts brought up. Yes, she stuttered when making points sometimes, but so what; I appreciated that she is informed on many different subjects. Now in her 50s, she's come a long way since being the kewpie-doll-faced Latina dancer-turned-actress in a baby-doll dress and cleavage, flirting with talk show hosts like she did in her 20s. But given this, her overly emotional goodbye today suggests--imho--that she was given some strong ultimatums and pressure about choosing, and it wasn't just a blatant kick out the door but that she is choosing Broadway. So, you know, godspeed and all.
Good move with Michelle Williams; I got the same sense as another poster stated above, that they're doing with her what they did when they discovered Joy. I still miss Joy and am glad when she co-hosts. She's always had the most common sense. But, she's in her 70s and made tons of money as a result of being a main panelist for so many years, plus a substantially raised profile and stand-up gigs, so, if she wants to be semi-retired, I say good for her.
It doesn't mean brows. It means something good.
When did snatch change from a girl's crotch to this meaning? To quote Edna Turnblad, "the times, they are a changin'"

That's what I mean, Jane. It still means crotch to me. (And a nasty term for it, btw, but whatever.)
So Sherri's back as a rotating host for next season, along with Stacey London, Molly Simms, and Candace Cameron Bure. And also from the article, the people at the show realize Nicolle has become a fan favorite, but they're still thinking about replacing her...?

Shepard, London, and Bure? The return of Shepard is especially disheartening. Her blend of narcissism, Bible-thumping morality, and low information sustaining incuriosity is toxic.
Set your DVR's now. Judd Apatow is on Thursday and I can only assume there will be sparks between him and Whoopi.
Oh no! Sheri Sheperd is back? Now they have two imbeciles instead of one. Please, ABC, give up already.

Excited for Michelle, it's a good move. I think of her as "Joy 2.0," though.
If Rosie Perez's tearful last day was technically last Wednesday, why was she not only on toward the end of the week, and then on again, today? I could see them shooting out of order because of the end-of-the-week tapings they do for Thurs and/or Fridays, but today? Just weird.

Isn't the vibe weird right now? Whoopi in her own emotional no man's land (her brother's death an understandable contributing factor), hyper aware that she has been the subject of as much ridicule as discussion (comments about "foot in my behind" yesterday). The show as created -- sophisticated banter in a cozy, homey digs (the old The City soap set re-purposed; I miss its stylized warmth) -- is long gone. It feels like something on basic cable, without the tone and frankly class it once at least aimed for. I don't miss Walters, yet find the creeping puerility ever dismaying. Only Wallace seems anchored to enough off-camera homework to bring thoughtful gravitas to the discussions. I'm tired of watching Raven and Rosie reading from 5x6 blue index cards, so halting and understudy-ish. As if they stepped from a cab onto the set, not even knowing who the guests are. The prep and polish are absent, and it feels like a team of benched players doing their best in a blizzard when the real stars couldn't get to the studio.

OMG don't make me reminisce about The City, I looooooooooooved The City. Morgan Fairchild. Philip Brown from The Doris Day Show all growed up but realllll good. Buck Huston, come back to ABC Daytime, all is forgiven!
Wendy Williams (yes, I like her and watch her show, lol) just stated that Sheri Shepherd is returning to the View next season. All I thought was how dreadfully desperate they are there.
Yes I read that in an article yesterday. The link gives a more in-depth look at the (terrible) rotating co-host idea.
This article from Variety says there will be a permanent 5-member panel with a rotating list of people (Shepherd among them) to fill in from time to time.
