Children's Theatre Audition HELP!!

Hi everybody,

I'm new to the boards. It's great to be here. I was wondering if anybody would be able to assist me with an audition that I have approaching in just over two weeks time.

I've only just received confirmation & an audition slot for an upcoming professional children's theatre touring production of Rumpelstiltskin. I have been asked to prepare two contrasting audition/monologue speeches, both 2 minutes in length. One should demonstrate physical attributes (this one isn't a problem - I already have this sorted.) But, I've also been asked to prepare an appropriate male monologue from a published work (play or musical) that is appropriate for children or young adults.

I've spent the past day or two searching for an appropriate speech to use, but as of yet, no joy. If anybody would be able to assist me, I'd greatly appreciate the help & support.
