I know it's not a surprise, but I'm disappointed. I don't actively dislike him, but he's just not for me.

Why does he think this will be good for his career? Just because it's in America?

Kind of surprised by the choice. He is not exactly a known quantity to most of America . I thought they would go for someone more well known

Ferguson comes back in a few weeks hosting a syndicated gameshow. In 2015, he will star in a syndicated talk show. The down part of it is that it will allegedly be only a half hour.

I sort of get it, I sort of don't. In Britain and Japan, the ability to be an "idol," a media personality who sort of does it all, rather than being a luminary at one particular thing, is a standard entertainment career path. In America that sort of person is rarer.

Consider James Corden as aiming to be a more mainstream, less controversial variant on the Russell Brand career path. Film actor, TV star, comedian, panel host, a bit of everything.

I wonder if the real reason for Craig leaving is his failure to get the Letterman gig. If he is doing a talk show in 2015, why leave now. He is still on the top of his game and he is still funny.
