The question I always have for these kinds of sequels is "has there ever been a sequel with this kind of time gap that has ever been successful?"

It's the reason I don't share excitement when people talk about proposed sequels to Ghostbusters or Goonies or Dark Crystal or any other 80s movie that studio execs briefly think they can cash in on through nostalgia.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull wasn't bad. Commercially successful, too.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull wasn't bad

Disagree w u there.
Karen Allen was the only reason to see that movie.

Dumb & Dumber To will certainly equal the 1st film ( not saying much tho)
