Original "Funny Girl" video footage
Posted: 9/2/14 at 05:08pm
Hi - sorry if this has already been discussed; I did search and didn't find anything. Have any of you seen this before? A friend posted it on Facebook. I'm so curious to know how it came to be filmed. The quality is pretty bad, but still, it's really interesting to see.

Do you have to wear special glasses to see it?

Is this the footage you speak of?

I read somewhere that it was shot by a chorus member during rehearsal. I can't remember where though and can't really vouch much for the story's truthfulness. Though that does tend to be where most clips from that era came from, as it was a bit harder to sneak a camera in as an audience member than it is now.
I was previously known as Mr. Nowak (Joined: 5/20/13).

Yes, thanks - sorry, I tried to attach a link to the video, but it's not working for some reason.

I recall reading it was done by the Associate Director to be able to reproduce the staging for other productions... I may be wrong though.

I'd pay $6.50 to see this.
