FYI: she's on vacation October 27-November 2.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Of course she has a right to holiday, but I wonder if producers are worried about refunds on big weekends? I know she's taking off this weekend and part of next week, which is a holiday weekend and the US Open, and that last week in October goes into the marathon, another lucrative weekend for tourism.

Is she above the title? If she isnt above the title, they don't have to give refunds, correct??

No, she is not above the title and no they do not have to give refunds.

Not sure of dates, but J. Kelly Nestruck, the Theatre critic for The Globe and Mail has heard a rumour that Jessie Mueller will lead the national tour and that Chillina Kennedy will take over the role on Broadway.

That sounds so exciting, Jessie could be able to share her performance with more people all over the country, and Chilina can finally return to Broadway after Jesus Christ Superstar!

I heard a similar rumor in recent days from an acquaintance of Chilina's, but that person was told Jessie would be headed to London with the show, not on tour.

That makes sense with the timeline, given that Chilina is expected to take over the Broadway company in January and the tour won't begin until the fall of next year.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I thought I heard they were aiming for a British actress...

That was the initial hope, but now they've apparently settled on having Jessie launch the production with a limited run into the summer (I believe the West End run begins around March). She would then presumably be replaced by a British actress.

As has been discussed here before, given that the tour is starting in Jessie's hometown of Chicago, I wouldn't be surprised if she goes on to kick off the tour as well, but that remains to be seen.

If either version of that rumor is true, then I'm excited for Chilina Kennedy! I enjoyed her performance in JCS, and she is long overdue for another shot on Broadway.

Jessie and Jarrod S do have 2 concerts at NJPAC on March 1st and 2nd, but I don't know if that is any indication of anything. (and the concert is Sunday at 8pm, and Monday at 8pm so they dont conflict with a broadway schedule).

Margo Seibert crossed my mind today as an interesting replacement for Jessie

I read somewhere kind of the same thing, that she'd go to London for six months and then kick off the tour... I'm going, from Mexico, in November and I hope I get to see her, and I REALLY REALLY hope I get to see Anika Larsen... she's my favorite!

I hope she manages to have a little more personality as Carole King than she did as Mary Magdalene.

And FYI, she did win a Toronto Critic's Award for starring in Rose Petty's 'The Little Mermaid' as well as a San Diego and Hartford Outer Critics nominee for originating Phoebe in 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder' before it came to Broadway...
