Too soon? Grow up! It was a JOKE! Everybody's too sensitive. What does she care? She has a lot of money, she's going to worry about some little thread on a Broadway board. If she isn't dead, I mean. And in that case, she really doesn't care. It was a JOKE! If she's dead, Edgar's gonna kill himself again in the after life. What? It was a JOKE!

Does anybody know if this means Sally Marr will be recast?

Too MEAN? Joan Rivers is one of the kindest and most gracious celebrities I have ever met. Her dedication to her fans, her love and appreciation of them, is boundless.

Not to mention the fact that she is a genius comedienne.

Praying for her. I hope there's lots more inappropriate jokes out of that big mouth of hers in the years to come.

I like her. She's very funny and I've actually met her in person-she was really sweet and gracious.

Those nasty comments are just cruel. How would you like it if it was your relative and people were saying things like that?

I wish her a speedy recovery and hope she gets back on stage soon! I was looking forward to seeing her live. (I loved listening to her commentary about theater-this was a little venue.)

Well, I for one like her, and yes, she is a very nice person, and she's the only comic who has me howling with laughter. Best wishes for her recovery.

And for those of you thinking that the "clinic" Joan was at when she stopped breathing was a plastic surgeon, GROW UP!

If Joan were having more work done, she would have instructed EMS to proclaim it loudly!

The address reported in the latest NY Times article is Yorkville Endoscopy at 201 East 93rd Street--a very nice place, I can say from personal experience. They do lovely colonoscopies.

But who knew they worked on vocal chords?

They don't but since nothing but mean crap cones out of Joan's mouth, they made an exception! OH! You don't know!

I do worry that their saying she's "stable" as code for waiting til her horse-faced daughter arrives to tell her her mother's gone. If so I hope they have plenty of carrots and sugar cubes for Missy. Oh! It is just... What? Missy once ran the Triple Crown! She had to pick up bagels, a dreidel for Cooper and a fancy new blanket to put under her saddle! Oh! And she paid RETAIL! Missy counted the change with her hooves! One-two-three dollars...
