August 21st: Phantom of the Opera

First time ever seeing the show (never seen the movie, and only listened to a few songs), and it was really great. It was not on the plans and I bought the ticket at the last second (7:58 to be exact). Norm and Sierra were both fantastic and so was Ellen Harvey. I thought a few of the more operatic songs drug on, but it was still very enjoyable. I did not stage door this show. Seat 24, Right Front Mezz row F.

August 22nd: Newsies

Wow! This show had so much energy it was not even real. The entire show was amazing. Corey Cott was on point and the entire ensemble was on fire. Fantastic audience as well. So glad I got to see this before it closed. The stage door was pretty crowded, but manageable. We had seats 6 and 8, Right Front Mezz row BB, they were great seats. Favorite show of the trip!

August 23rd: If/Then

Awesome show! The entire cast was great. Idina had a little flub and sneezed right before "Map of New York" and laughed it off and shook her head and just said "I just don't know" and Jerry started the song, kinda funny. I really liked this show though, I know it has mixed reviews but I found it very enjoyable. I thought the second act was better than the first act. James, Jenn, and LaChanze all came out to the stage door. Idina came out, but could not sigh because she had her son with her. We had seats 2 and 4, Right Orch, row L. We were the first seats of of the slope and the seats were perfect. Best seats we had.

August 24th: Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Andrew Rannells was fantastic! I had high hopes for the show, and it delivered. Andrew still did spit water, the "carwash", but did not make-out with anyone. I feel like this show would be a way different experience at a night show, because the audience was pretty dull and it was not sold out. I grabbed one of the Hurt Locker Playbills and it is way funny and full of so many jokes. Andrew and Lena do not come in between shows, but the band members did. I had seat 7, Left Mezz, row B. Pretty good seat, but these were the tightest seats I had the whole time. I am 6'2 and was never that uncomfortable except in the Belasco

That was my whole trip! I had an amazing time, if you have any questions about seats/views or anything else; just ask!

Glad you enjoyed your trip and shows. BTW, the mezz seats at the Walter Kerr are horrific also. I'm 6'3 and it was the worst.
