Excellent actor. Frustrating director.

Check out his performance in SEANCE ON A WET AFTERNOON.
"It's now rather very common to hear people say 'I'm rather offended by that'. As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more than a whine. It has no meaning, no purpose. It has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that'. Well, so f**king what?"--Stephen Fry

He was a brilliant actor. I really enjoyed him in 'Jurassic Park', 'The Great Escape', and 'Miracle on 34th Street'. R.I.P.

How about him as the circus owner Blossom in the original Dr Doolittle.

A great talent R.I.P.

Jesus, I thought he was dreadful in Jurassic Park. And thanks for messing up A Chorus Line, Dickie.

...but not at the end, when he sold his family home and required full-time care in a nursing facility.

He got stuck with a bum role in JURRASIC PARK. The movie couldn't decide whether he was a cute-as-a-button grandpa or the psychotic Disney Chrichton wrote.

And I don't think even Olivier could have pulled off the infamous ice cream-eating scene.
