New posters definately (I purchased one) that says "At the Belasco Theatre Whether You Like it Or Not, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, 2014 Tony Award Best Revival" then Andrews name on the bottom in the smaller text. Not sure about other new merch, didn't look for anything else.

"But the other shows this week apparently aren't sold out, so don't count on SRO."

I went to the box office around 3:00 today to see if there were any affordable seats left for tonight, and the attendant told me there were less than 30 seats remaining. So SRO had a good chance of happening... if you have the time to spare, give it a shot.

I really wanted to see a poster with the Andrew picture Either way when he leaves they'll need to change it if his name is on it anywhere, seems odd not to capitalize on it.

Just an FYI- They bumped up the number of tickets for the lottery yesterday from 20 to 30. No indication if this will continue going forward.

Good to know! Makes sense. I think Kinky does something similar if there are seats available.

here is the new poster (courtesy of the official merch site) It's printed with reflective silver foil.

My Icon "Swiney" the Swine Flu Mascot- art by me. "Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

I like the new poster a lot but I do agree it should have Andrew's name bigger on it. Side question: Does Andrew have an understudy or is he sticking to Neil's approach?

They probably didn't want to have to redesign a new poster for every Hedwig, so that one can be reused with a quick text change.

Does a discount code for $49 balcony seats still exist? Do any?

The "and the" and the exclamation point throw off the balance of the poster.

To anyone who has been to the Belasco Theatre during Hedwigs run, does the merchandise stand take credit card?

I saw the show tonight and thought Rannells was terrific. He sounded great, and he really conveyed the emotional journey of the character. I liked Neil Patrick Harris too, but I felt more pulled into the story by Rannells.

My one complaint was that I occasionally missed a joke. Maybe Rannells was speaking too fast or something, I don't know. But an excellent performance.

My friend and I weren't successful at the lottery, so we went over to the booth. We sat in the orchestra on the far right side, and I couldn't see the projections or the door Hedwig opens several times during the show. For that reason I would avoid the far right side.

Tonight's audience was enthusiastic and really into the show. There were a couple of empty seats that I could see; no SRO. John Cameron Mitchell was in attendance.

I decided I would see all the Hedwigs. I'm glad I didn't miss Rannells.

It'll be interesting to see who they have lined-up next after Rannells. Maybe that's why they only list 5 performances a week for now. If they have a certain name in mind, that "star" might want a different schedule.
A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.

I saw the performance this evening and I think Rannells is a different take on Hedwig that also works, but I'm quite biased that I prefer NPH (though I definitely would prefer JCM first since I've seen the movie several times!)

*possible spoilers below so don't read on if you don't wish to know them*
Since everyone has access to "Sugar Daddy" from the Tony Awards --- some things Andrew did differently on that song in tonight's performance were: no kiss & no eyeglass licking! Just an FYI in case you bought tix in the hopes of getting a kiss or lick from him. I'm not 100% sure whether NPH did all that in all his shows but I did see him perform Hedwig 9 times and in those 9 instances he did all of that.

Overall I think Andrew will be amazing but I think he rushed a bit on some of the jokes, especially with the folks sitting in the box seats (Andrew made a grindr joke but none of the people in the box laughed so I'm guessing they were all straight and didn't know what it was?) I understand this is only his 3rd performance of this production and it'll take time for him to settle in. His version of Tommy Gnosis though was superb!

He's still a bit nervous too, I think. He said some odd lines like "Put down your $75 cocktail..." (during the wig song before the sing-a-long) and "Yitzhak! You can speak sightreading" (right before Yitzhak sings Love Theme from Hurt Locker.) He didn't do the "sing my angel of music" reference too but that's ok.

I understand his take will be different and that's ok since his version works too! Overall I think he did a great job! For those who saw NPH and AR perform, would be great to hear your opinions as well!

Did he do the carwash?

Since I only saw NPH very early in his run, he didn't do any of those bits then either, as I recall... so it would make sense that each Hedwig will develop their own ad libs outside of the script..

Yes, AR did the car wash. And I agree with Wick that his take on Tommy Gnosis was amazing. I remember the $75 cocktail joke from NPH, but the sight reading joke was definitely lost on me. Enjoy the show, Bdwydreamer!

Thanks so much! I took a chance even though some people complained about a bar and got balcony row A.
