Rocky was one of the best Broadway shows of all time! I was lucky enough to see it 4 times. Now I am so sad to see it go. The entire cast, but especially, Andy Karl gave it their all. The critics, except for Rex Reed, had it all wrong! I am sending my best wishes to everyone involved in Rocky for an awesome closing night!!! I will miss you! = ( xox

"The entire cast, but especially, Andy Karl gave it their all."

How can you say that??? In almost 200 fights against Apollo Creed, Karl never won once. NOT ONCE! How is that giving it his all? You would think even once or twice in 200 fights, Creed would have felt under the weather, distracted, be having an off-day, let his guard down, whatever and Rocky could have knocked him out with a hard right cross. But no, he couldn't win once. 0-200. That's terrible. They need to bring Rocky back at some point with an actor who can give Creed a serious challenge and even win a few times. Mike Tyson is now an acclaimed actor (wasn't he amazing in the Hangover movies) who has already done Broadway. I bet he could give Creed a real match.

I just wish these damned critics would stop closing shows everyone wants to buy tickets to go see... enough already!

There are different ways of winning, Fisherman Bob. Rocky won something BETTER than a Tony.

Jennifer Mudge and James Brown III were tweeting throughout the show, under #finalfight. Check it out if you feel like.

I, for one, am really going to miss it. (As in all of it, not just the last 20 minutes.)

I also am really sad to see this show go. I loved it visually. The music was obviously not the greatest thing, but it worked with the show. It was fascinating to see a boxing show on the Broadway stage

I enjoyed ROCKY well enough, but I'm sorry, you cannot take a movie with absolutely no reason to be musicalized, give it the most musical theatre-esque songwriters currently in the business and the book writer who wrote ANNIE and ELF and have it directed by an extremely avant-garde theatre director and expect it to appeal to a large audience, much less be successful. It may have been decent, but it was a bad idea right out of the gate.

Honestly, my first reaction when I heard Rocky was going to Broadway was to chuckle and shake my head. When I went to NYC in June I had eight show spots to fill. Rocky filled spot number eight. I wasn't expecting much. And wouldn't you know it, it was my favorite show of the eight. The acting/singing was very impressive. The visuals were awesome. I opted to stage door it and the actors were beyond nice. It was a great experience from the minute I walked into the theatre until the minute I started to walk back to my hotel. Considering I almost didn't even go see it, I loved how the show turned me from a skeptic into a fanatic.

I'm curious. All those who LOVED Rocky, did you arrive late and miss Act I, only seeing Act II? Thank God for all that scenery, it gave me something worthwhile watching in Act I.

Patash, I wasn't crazy about Act One. But I enjoyed the production values so much, that I found it a highly enjoyable and impressive evening.

It is certainly the most astonishing technical achievement I've ever seen.

I'm with you Patash.

Karl and the set were outstanding.

Everything else was mediocre. At best.

It should have been sung through.

I really enjoyed this show and thought it was really solid. Excellent performers, characters to root for, and the fight was one of the most impressive and incredible things I have ever witnessed onstage. Sad this didn’t have a longer run.

I, for one, enjoyed the entire show. It was funny and poignant. Closely followed the story line of the movie. And, if you didn't care for the love story, how could you not at least have loved Apollo Creed's (Terence Archie) "Patriotic" and Rocky's (Andy Karl) "Fight From the Heart"?!!! - which were in the first act. If all "you" wanted was to see a fight, "you" should have gone to a fight!
