It's the Democrats that are passing out weapons of mass destruction to the local police. You get what you vote for.

"The 1033 program has transferred more than $4.3 billion in equipment since its inception in 1997 (UNDER BILL CLINTON). In 2013 alone (UNDER BARACK OBAMA) it gave nearly half a billion dollars worth of military equipment to local law enforcement agencies, according to the program's website.

But more Democrats did it and the program was started by a Democrat. Democrats own this mess.

If the reason for the confrontation was that he was a suspect in a robbery, why in God's name did it take the police nearly a week to say so? Particularly given the subsequent days of rioting (which very possibly wouldn't have then occurred)?

Who will be the first to say "It is department policy not to comment on an ongoing investigation"? A CNN squawking head (immediately parroted by the Abscessory)? The Chief?

It is only a wee bit ironic that after the accessory got so bold and heated that the cops admitted that the cop who stopped Brown had no idea that he fit the description of the robbery suspect.

The ONLY reason he was stopped was because he was walking in the street.

Right? The "centrist" was going to counterbalance the "inflammatory" rhetoric by just running with a story being propagated by the least trustworthy agents in this drama, the militarized cops.

" why in God's name did it take the police nearly a week to say so?"

Because, my cynical self feels, that is how long it took them to come up with the smear campaign against the victim.

Like the abscessory, the Ferguson PD is not particularly smart. But now that they've concocted their story they'll never let it go.

Except they already have let it go. EVEN IF Brown committed the crime, the office who engaged him had no idea. So, it is just a red herring to smear and confuse.

Basic fact - Cop with Gun killed an unarmed black teen. Even if Brown had been physical with the cop, the Cop had alternatives, and whether it was calling for back up, stepping back, or using non-lethal force, all were available. A shield and a gun does not make you immune for being responsible for your choices.

A red herring that gave the abscessory a rip-roaring hard-on to post in bold.

Note to LH: how many more times will you demonstrate the same behavior before you finally learn what we all know to be true about you: your every impulse is wrong.

I'm trying to put myself in LH's shoes, and I would have left this place eons ago. What is so important about posting on BWW that one would plod through argument after argument with some of the members? One would have to be pretty desperate to be here when they receive all negative feedback.

If posting on a forum is important, there are many others to join. I don't get it.

I don't understand the harping and harping on incorrect information and never saying, geez, I was wrong. How hard is it to have some humility.

Then there's the "centrist" bs, disproven yet another time with today's insane response to the PD's distraction plan.

And who cares if he stole some cigars from a convenience store? He was nevertheless shot dead in the street.

The fact that the information released by the Ferguson PD doesn't even comment on the actual shooting speaks volumes. No questions have been answered; only more have been raised. "Michael Brown is a thuggish youth who may have stole cigars" is not the answer to anyone's question; however it certainly will be accepted by a great number of idiots who probably complain about the abuses of power they perceive all around them.

And let's point out that NOBODY has proven that Brown's the guy who stole a box of cigars.

Only a sucker and a moron would accept what this PD says at face value.

And even if he did (and let's agree: if he did, he shouldn't have), the cop that shot him had no idea. It had nothing to do with the shooting.

But the abscessory thinks that's the most important detail.

Let's face it. LH would root for Javert and claim that's the centrist position.

WELL HE STOLE A LOAF OF BREAD AND ONLY I AM BRAVE ENOUGH TO BOLD THAT FACT.

yes. the antagonism is palpable, even on tv.
The police should go home. They look ****ing ridiculous, just looking for an excuse to inflame the somewhat small looking group of potential looters.

No need for police overkill.
