This is NOT for people who hated Jarvis Cocker on that Sondheim special

"Last Thursday night, nine-year old Graham Johnson won a Pulp karaoke contest that was judged by the band's lead singer, Jarvis Cocker, at a Brooklyn rooftop screening of the documentary PULP: A Film About Life, Death, & Supermarkets."

Love this, Namo! Great find.

I actually won a karaoke contest a couple of years ago singing that very song at a very straight-laced bro'y bar in San Diego a day or two before Mother's Day. I was shocked to find it on the list. No one recognized the song as it started except for the DJ. During the very long instrumental intro I spoke about how my grandmother used to sing this song to me as a lullaby and that I was dedicating it to her memory and the memory of all grandmother and mothers out there. And then, of course, launched into the first line "You are hardcore, you make me hard..."

RIP, Granny.

It's such a fun song to sing, too. I still can't believe it was on the list in a random sports bar in San Diego.
