New "On the Town" Ballet at 8/6 Usdan Gala

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, whose alumni include Jackie Hoffman, Natalie Portman, Seth Rudetsky, Olivia Thirlby, Taylor Dane, Mariah Carey and Jane Monheit, will present its annual Gala concert next Wednesday August 6 at 7 PM at the Center's McKinley Ampitheater. Among the special events will be the premiere of highlights from Leonard Bernstein's "On the Town" classic score, by Usdan Dance Chair and Broadway choreographer Maurice Brandon Curry. Also on the bill is the all-female post-modern Genghis Barbie horn quartet, and highlights from Broadway's "Gypsy" by the Usdan Musical Theater Rep Ensemble.
