Ring Of Fire Cast Recording

There was an older thread discussing whether or not Ring Of Fire would receive a cast recording. Obviously it did. My question is what makes this recording so expensive to buy? On Amazon, prices are starting at $70 and some are over $100. Can you no longer purchase it from a legitimate retailer? Is it what we used to call out of print?

$70? Huh? It's on ITunes for $14.99!

This is the actual audio cd.

Yes, the physical CD is out of print (which is definitely still a thing). As Sutton says, it's available at a reasonable price from digital outlets like iTunes and Amazon MP3, but I could understand if you wanted the actual CD over buying it digitally. Unfortunately that's the only way it's available.

Thanks, Mr. Nowack. I thought for that price it was out of print for the actual cd. I found today a brand new sealed cd for pennies and was curious about it. I didn't see the show and have no interest really in the cd. I don't sell on ebay. So I was curious why the price for resell was so high.

Oh, I see. It's awful how expensive some out of print cast albums are online. HIGH SPIRITS was in the $60 or $70 range last I checked and that sadly is NOT on iTunes.

Unfortunately I know a lot about the woes of trying to get cast albums that have gone out of print. Oddly enough they're usually much cheaper in oddball stores (although a thousand times harder to find).
