I haven't seen one commercial or one ad anywhere for it so it surprised me when I saw it listed tomorrow night.

I'm so excited now!

I only realized the new season was starting because I did a google search to remind myself of who won last season (lord, I had forgotten how thoroughly mediocre that finale seemed). Anyways, here's to a new season with hopefully some really good talent.

Thank you VERY much, Jordan. MY DVR caught PR, but cancelled something else I wanted. I've got it all worked out now, but I didn't know the premiere was tonight.

Please God let this new season push out of our minds all memories of that dreadful UNDER THE GUNN crap we were forced to make do with this past spring.

I was voting for tonight's winner the moment I saw them working.

In second place, I thought that geometric purple gown was absolutely STUNNING.

I agree with the bottom two. Either one could go as far as I was concerned. They probably kept the one that they kept for drama.

Totally agree that Sean's purple geometric should have been top 3. I also think the East German Fade's black & white new-look dress had something great going on.

Keeping that south beach horror Mitchell on the show in lieu of some of the 3 folks sent packing before the 1st challenge is so sad and smacks of producer fingerprints all over the place. Mitchell and Angela (the terrified girl) are just so much canon fodder at this point.

Wake me when something thrilling walks the runway.

They should have kept Jefferson. What BS.

Yeah, I liked Jefferson's personality, but those WTF "diaper shorts" were atrocious. I would have kept him on, though. I looooved the long red gown thingy, also loved the East German guy's outfit very fresh looking. Also loved the black up/down hem top w/the grey pants w/diamonds - very chic.

They should send everyone else home, save us the time, and give the title to Sandhya. Loved how almost none of the other designers recognized how good her work was.

I'm most excited for the Gretchen-level crazy that Korina might just be capable of. She could NOT with Sandhya...which is fascinating, because she clearly loves her Native American design aesthetic, but cannot wrap her head around Sandhya's Indian aesthetic, which I think is unique enough for Project Runway to create interest. I can't hope to expect a Team Luxe-style meltdown, but if it can come close, I will be SO SO HAPPY.

I love that she won, especially because everyone was so sure she was on her way out the door! AND she seems like a lovely person.

Looking forward to it, hope its a good season.

As soon as I saw her dying the edge of her fabric and then adding the contrasting piping, I knew I would wear anything she made! it was almost unanimous among the other "designers" that she was the worst. HAHAHAHA

Really? I liked some of the clothes on her audition rack, but I was baffled by what Sandhya produced last night! The torn shoulders made her model look like a rape victim from LAW & ORDER SVU!

I don't quite understand the judges' love for her, unless it's just that "India" is the next trend and they hope she will come through for them later.

Someone in a Tree, Mitchell is from my hometown in the county north of Miami. So he's not really "South Beach". But if he mentions being from South Florida one more time, I shall cheer for his aufing. (I agree he could have gone home last night.)

"Mitchell and Angela (the terrified girl) are just so much canon fodder at this point."

Yep. I thought the 'diaper shorts' were hot in a Kendall Jenner way, very young Hollywood/pop princess. But, the problem was that they were 'diaper shorts'So PROJECT RUNWAY Starts Tomorrow With his taste level, Jefferson would have lasted for 2 more episodes tops. Mitchell's in over his head right along with nervous Angela. He's Josh McKinney Part Deux minus the talent but with the same taste level.

Now regarding Sandhya's dress, I suspect that the race is currently handicapped for entertainment value. Will she survive by presenting something that different each week? I don't claim to understand how a famous designer like Zac assesses what's fashion, but I didn't find Sandhya's dress the least bit flattering on her model.

I already predict that we will see a repeat of the season that Amanda first made an appearance. Once again she'll be a charter member of the trio of mean biatches this time joined by Korina and Char. Korina already has her claws out and Char's true nature is lurking beneath the surface.

I think the women are much stronger designers this season than their male counterparts. Nevertheless, I'm still baffled by the dress that follows.

I'm quirky with quirky tastes, so I love the dress, but I don't love the science fiction wings on the shoulders. If her clothes get any weirder, I might jump ship!

Jane2,

What bothered me was how the judges completely contradicted their views from past seasons, especially Nina. In previous seasons, Nina would have ripped the designer for not aligning the patterns of the print. As little as I know about fashion, even I can see that the flowers on the front-center panel don't line up with the ones on the sides. Both Nina and Georgina Chapman are completely anal about that particular detail. And Nina seemed particularly put off by the lack of execution compared to that of the contending top designs.

I'm rarely one to question someone else's taste. My sole issue is how the judges have evolved so dramatically in what seems like a nanosecond. Perhaps I'm going to have to be a bit more open-minded towards a non-western aesthetic going forward. I just find it funny that one of the Lifetime on-line posters have dubbed her Patricia 2.0So PROJECT RUNWAY Starts Tomorrow Can't wait to see what the designers produce after selecting their own fabrics. PR remains the only reality TV show that I watch on TV.

Javero, my only comment would be that we must remember that this is a "show" and whatever ends up airing, are decisions made by the producers for whatever reasons. (why am I saying "whatever" reasons, I know exactly what reasons). For ratings. They want people talking about this winning dress, and they are!

These reality shows never are too closely related to reality, right?

It's not fair to label Sandhya Patricia 2.0; Patricia took the time to line up her patterns.

I really liked Sandhya's design and I didn't think I would. Normally, the mismatched pattern pieces would have turned me off. This didn't. The challenge was create one piece of a collection for fashion week and Sandhya actually delivered a statement piece that could easily be transformed into a more commercial look (remove the slits in the sleeve, simplify the collar). I think part of the reason she didn't line up the pattern was because she embroidered a row of flowers on the back of the dress that couldn't have lined up if she matched all four panels in the design.

Mitchell and Korina can go away any time now.

It was a weird judging. They wanted to see a piece from a runway collection. Well, hers was the only one that actually seemed like it might be from a runway collection. The rest were all way too ready-to-wear, which is fine, but not for a runway collection. I liked her piece. It wasn't suppose to be wearable. No one is going to wear that to the movies. It was meant to be a runway piece. And for that, I liked it. I think the judging got a little muddled as to what they actually wanted the designers to do.

But it's too soon to tell who is going to win or who is even doing good work. It's the first challenge and I imagine it's tough to get into that whole time constraint thing.

Two extremely well-educated but catty as hell ladies at work are now calling her Sandhya Gar(ba)ge. I just took a look at the look book featured at her website. I'm no fashion maven, but her pieces strike me as somewhat different than the typical PR fare. I hope that the more sartorial among us will weigh in.
