Really? Did you watch today? There were fireworks between herself and Whoopi.

Watched the show today, and Cupp was an idiot. Whoopi looked like she was going to attack her for being so stupid. I hope this isn't true.

Cupp is a FANTASTIC Elisbitch replacement. Jeesh watching her on CNN with the same tired talking points. She still thinks pot needs more time to be legalized.

I had never heard of Cupp before watching the View today, but I was thinking she's pretty smart in purposely causing drama.

SE Cupp has been on Bill Maher a number of times, and I never knew she was married (being that she's prego now, on The View so much lately). She always came off like some single 30-something-uppity-militant-but-articulate (and, I'll admit, occasionally funny) Republican TV chick. She's a little different on The View, but for better or worse, hasn't been allowed to say much. "Serious" talks? I suppose if they're looking for an actual *informed* Republican representation on The View and they couldn't get McCain, she's a decent choice. Where was she 10 years ago when they could have gotten a more intelligent GOP mouthpiece than blonde Barbie-doll Hasselbeck?

As for "fireworks" between her and Whoopi today...has anyone noticed that Whoopi has had fireworks with...um...everyone, lately? What is going on with her? She was gone several days the last couple of weeks. Was she doing a movie and is now cranky for being back to her "regular" schedule in the morning? She was rude to the guest co-host Tuesday, rude to Cupp today (she even interrupted and "clap clap clapped" in her face to get her attention in part of their conversation--really?), and in general is more ar-tic-u-late and LOUD and YELL-Y lately. It's noticeable. She's the moderator and I usually appreciate her being the voice of reason/last word before they go to commercial in usual conversation, but, as a Whoopi fan...she's just being plain bitchy this week and needs to stop. It's unattractive.

Now that it's been confirmed that producer Geddie is leaving, they should make it a clean sweep and get rid of Whoppi too. She really doesn't come across as all that intelligent, isn't very articulate, often appears bored, and is rude to her co-hosts and guests. And, personally, I'm sick and tired of her eye-rolling, above-it-all attitude. Memo to Whoppi: You're just not that sharp to warrant having a superiority complex. Now that the show is being revamped and is going back in the direction of being more "newsy", they should have dumped her, as well. If she does come back, I predict it will be for one final season, with many "off" days, and then she'll be outta there.

I like Whoopi. Maybe she's getting tired of the View. If so, I'm sure she'd be able to leave somehow, even though she's under contract. Those are known to be broken.

I think Whoopi has one more year on her contract. Maybe she leaves after next year & Rosie moves back over to the moderator's chair?

S.E. Cupp is also a co-leader of a Republicans for Gay Marriage movement. She is fairly moderate, or "liberal," on very specific social issues.

Why are libertarians always such chicken poops when it comes to using the word "libertarian," I mean other than the obvious fact that it should be extremely embarrassing?

S.E. Cupp also likes to ignore facts and preach crap like "Republicans are more accepting of atheism than are Democrats." She has also accused Bill Nye of being a bully when it comes to Global Warming. She will use any tactic possible to avoid stating facts her agenda doesn't agree with.

She is VERY MUCH an Elizabeth Hassllbeck-type but can actually form her own thoughts (however confusing.) As I mentioned she is a playing to that fake "libertarian" collective that arose with the Teabaggers.

True Libertarians are very hard to find in higher government. S.E. is certainly not one.

Thank god S.E. is not a politician and means very little, if at all, to the country. It's a television show. Not the government.

That's because they're insane and believe in a system that would be worse than any Republicans nightmare of "communism" times ten. That's libertarians for you. Oh, sorry. "Moderates.."

they taped their last show of the season today. I'm surprised no announcement was made as afar as the new hosts.

New co-hosts were "chem-tested" (chemistry-tested) with Whoopi & Rosie this morning.

Haterobics...yes you can be pregnant without being married. But at some point in the last couple of weeks while testing SE Cupp, she mentioned her husband. She had never mentioned that before, and I don't even think she has a wedding ring on, in previous TV appearances nor recently. As a Republican, I doubt she would have gotten pregnant (and stayed pregnant) without being married. I did hear her mention something on The View a week ago or so about being supportive of gay marriage, though, which surprised me, but pleasantly so. (I'm straight, but support gay rights including gay marriage, etc.)

I like Whoopi, for the record, and do think she's smart and has common sense, actually. I think her eye-rolling comes from a comfort level of basically having worked with most of the celebrity guests they ever have on, on the show, even though sometimes it is meant to be funny and comes off...not so much. Just lately, she seems super-cranky.

Both Radar Online and TMZ are reporting that it was possible new addition to the panel, conservative S.E. Cupp, who was the center of the drama, though not purposefully so. Joined by Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell and Sunny Hostin, things got HOT during a "Hot Topics" segment on (what else) abortion:

"They were talking about the difficult decision families have to make. And S.E. said she thought it was ridiculous that abortion has become so easy. And Rosie and Whoopi pounced!" noted the source of what turned into a verbal melee.

"Rosie and Whoopi ganged up S.E. and just went after her. Rosie told her, 'You're just rattling off Republican talking points. That's not what we need,'" recalled the source.

After that, O'Donnell said that she wouldn't work "with another Elisabeth Hasselbeck" and then berated Cupp about how old she was. Whoopi also wouldn't let go of the abortion thing:

"It got so nasty that Whoopi said in front of the live audience, 'Have you ever had to make that decision?'

"The audience gasped, the executives started freaking out, they had to cut. It was so uncomfortable. It was a massive train wreck," continued the insider.

Whoopi reportedly got fired up to the point that she railed against Barbara Walters to the producers, saying that she'd been "working with a cranky 85-year-old woman who's mad about everything for 2 years, and I need a break."

No comment on the above incident but I will say, Rosie and Whoopi have BOTH made it very clear they don't want to come to work to fight with people everyday.
