So I'm auditioning for BARNUM later this week and would really love to sing "Maps" from Fun Home for my audition. I was wondering if anyone knew where or how to get the sheet music for the song? Of course, I'll pay for it.
Second, the director I am auditioning for has never even heard of the show. For those of you who saw it, what would be a good one sentence intro to the song explaining what is happening in the plot that leads to the song? Thanks so much in advance!
There is not commercially available sheet music/vocal selections for Fun Home. Someone might have something, but as far as I know it doesn't really exist in any form that someone not affiliated with the production could access.
Not sheet music, but I THOUGHT I saw the libretto for pre-order on Amazon.com, but now I'm searching and nothing is showing. Maybe it's been postponed...
My guess is that a vocal selections will be published but not for a while.
On a side note the Violet vocal selections will be published in April. It contains several additional songs other than what's currently available online.
Thanks for that info, Sally! $7 per song is a little high since I hope to get the book of vocal selections. It says more songs will be available soon, I hope that means the book will follow soon.

So I guess I was lucky to get those three songs for only $7 each because now according top Samuel French's website (and this link http://www.samuelfrench.com/p/59549/fun-home-vocal-selections) the selections were allegedly published on March 1st but isn't currently available, but you can buy each of the songs separately for a stunning 10 dollars each. I've never heard of sheet music being so expensive.

The vocal selections are finally available! I received an email about them yesterday and ordered them immediately, and received one an hour or so ago that they've shipped! thank god, the wait was terrible.
