Theater playbill giveaways?

I'm coming to NYC next week and was wondering if I go into a theater and ask, will they give me a playbill? There are some shows that I have seen productions of that are currently on broadway and I would love to have an official playbill but thought I would ask on here before I just walked into the various theaters. Thanks in advance for your help!! :)

Ask, you have nothing to lose. I sent a playbill from Book Of Mormon to someone on this site and I just asked the box office for it.
