Hi everyone, a friend of mine knows someone in the show and is taking me with her to go backstage. I was wondering if any of you have done so, and if it is common courtesy to bring flowers or something to the actor as a little thank you? Also is it a quick conversation just thanking them for their performance and leaving, or do they give tours or something? I just don't know what to expect and was wondering. Thanks in advance for the help.

Be grateful and thank them but I've never brought a gift when going back stage. If you're going backstage you'll probably get some sort of tour. Though, there have been times when I've been backstage and just had a short convo with some photos taken (backs to the audience - never photograph set or costume pieces).

Had same experience aa Eris0303. Very thankful for the tour, but didn't bring a gift or flowers. Kinda treated it like visiting someone at work. If you feel that your backstage experience goes above and beyond - why not offer to take your friends' friend out for drinks after?! If alcohol is a no-go, then coffee and dessert at Junior's always works.
