Yes but Aladdin is Tony Nominated for best musical they wanted to give it somthing

That's why often there's a shift in emphasis from the set of noms and the awards themselves as happened w Aida long ago and, to a certain extent, Raisin in the Sun tonight. Call me an idiot but I don't think wins happen the way you suggest.
