I didnt see the show but his performance on the Tonys was lackluster.

A travesty. He won a Tony for trying to breathe.

It's not a travesty. He did not give his best performance tonight...but he IS amazing at Aladdin.

And the "Friend Like Me" is about 8 minutes long in the show... basically, it's 8 minutes of pure awesomeness!

I just do no think the tony committee liked Bullets and by giving it an award any award might have boosted ticket sales for a show whey did not like. Tony Awards are political and anyone who does not know that is an idiot

I havent seen Aladdin (and i dont plaj to) but i find it hard to believe his performance better than danny burstein in cabaret. He was absolutely winsome and Heartbreaking.

JRRTolken, the awards are given based on hundreds of members not a committee. That's why often there's a shift in emphasis from the set of noms and the awards themselves as happened w Aida long ago and, to a certain extent, Raisin in the Sun tonight. Call me an idiot but I don't think wins happen the way you suggest.
