Over apparently. Ran during commericals.

It appears, as I mentioned earlier, to have been cut. Forget honoring some of the legendary people who are no longer with us. Instead, we needed a performance from a ten year old musical and a horrific rap.

I really liked "Neverland" from Finding Neverland

Hooray for Jesse! The whole intro of the nominees was hilarious and one of the best parts of the night. Bullets Over Broadway was good too.

The Neverland song was good. But it sounded like it would be a song that the Barrie character would sing, right?

Is that show officially unofficially coming in this season?

Jennifer Hudson was the first Academy Award winner I met in my life and I've also been a fan of her's for many years now. She's amazing.

Man this was a lackluster ceremony. Sad after such a great show last year.

One of the weakest winners in awhile.

Yea!! It's past 11pm and the CBS station here in Atlanta didn't cut off the Tony Awards like last year. I guess this means no "Trip To Beautiful Pippin" though?

Can't be weaker than the terrible Memphis.

10 new musicals this season and that won? why.

Well that's that. A weaker show than last year by far. But anything that celebrates theatre and exposes even 1 more person to live theatre is ok by me

True, but that's not saying much. It will be interesting to see the box office effect on the win.

It's one of the most original and exciting new shows with a brilliant score and a wonderful cast. It has all the makings of a great show and it is certainly the little show that could after all the setbacks and delays. A very well deserved win for A Gentleman's Guide.

I'd give the show a weak B. Now who wants to rate the performances?

Awww, does it burn inside? How bad?

The nominations already gave it a big push. It's on its way to be a hit.

I loved GG, thought it was by far the best show of the season (of what I saw, anyway). Does that mean it's one of the best shows ever? No, but worthy THIS year.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

And deservedly so. It's such a brilliant and fun little show that deserves success.
