So, I'm looking to book BULLETS OVER B'WAY. My hope is to get a consensus from those who've seen the show. I will be taking a friend who is visually impaired, and was wondering if she'd miss anything from front row of the mezzanine. Opposed to sitting in the orchestra (behind peoples' heads), a "very high" stage, etc.. Are there 'little moments' to look out for that would be precluded due to the distance? Are the sets lavish enough to be appreciated? Any insight appreciated. I've personally never sat in the Mezzanine of the St. James, so any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!
That is a perfect place from which to see the show, and you won't miss anything. Subtlety isn't this show's strong suit, so there are no moments to look out for, really. I can't speak to sitting there with visual impairment, and what one might miss, though. Remove that and the view is perfect, so you'll have to factor the parameters of the impairment into the mix.
There are many, many threads on the seating for bullets. In the time you created this and bumped it, you could have actually found them. Do your research, like most people do!
How dare I? LOL. I hope you're joking because you sound like you're commanding someone to respect you?
To earn respect, you need to do something worth respecting. You just not bothering to do any research on the many threads that address your question is ridiculous. They are all over this message board. Look them up, it's truly not that difficult, I promise.
Look, kid. I know you're new here and all, and that's great. I'm happy that you're able to show your vast appreciation and adoration for the business -- but, when it comes to these boards? Kindness and character counts. That's what kept me going strong for so many years now. Get out what you put into the world.
I second the opinion that the sets are lavish enough that nothing should be missed. It really does go for being a "big" Broadway musical. However, depending on your friend's impairment, she may not be able to see some of the smaller props. I don't think that would be enough to warrant a change of seats though, because the props I'm thinking of are discussed in context, so you don't actually have to be able to see them. I hope you both enjoy the show!!
PS to Everlast85- I'm pretty sure LimelightMike knows how to search the threads... But, to point out what should be obvious: general info re seating is one thing; info re seating with a visual impairment is another.
