Here's a thread we can update every day commemorating those Americans who heroically lose their lives for the sake of gun owners' rights. Because we're an optimistic bunch, the general daily theme should be:

I'm glad more people weren't killed or injured. It could have been much worse!

I want to take the opportunity to acknowledge Jon Meis, the very brave student who subdued gunman Aaron Rey Ybarra as he was attempting to reload his gun, preventing him from continuing his shooting spree. Lives were saved as a result of his bravery. He is a hero.

All of this craziness is sad and maddening.

They gave up their lives exercising our 2nd amendment rights. So, although they are murderers, in a very important way, they're heroes.

Shooting today in a Las Vegas Walmart. Two shooters killed a woman and then they shot each other. Hmm, is that like one of those wild west duel to the death things? Good thing they had those guns to get rid of each other!

In other news, Walmart has said the if their truck driver who killed Tracy Morgan's friend and injured all those other people is found to be responsible, they will help the victims. I assume that means with getting food stamps and a listing of free medical clinics.

I just know that I can definitely feel safe knowing that "guns everywhere" is happening. If there is anyone saner, more rational, and more likely to put a stop to shenanigans and meanies it is a drunk, angry, man who just drank 10 shots of tequila and is now driving to the Waffle House, then I've certainly never met 'em.
