Has anyone rushed MACBETH at the Armory or seen the line? Any recommendation as to what time one should start lining up? They go on sale at 4pm. Thank you!

Yesterday morning there were about 17 people in line by 11am. The line might have been a little light due to the rain and the fact that it was opening night. Some people have said there are about 30 tickets. Also note that the tickets now go on sale at 12:30pm for evening shows. Tickets are $21 each, cash or credit.

Thank you so much guys! This is VERY helpful. I thought the evening shows went on sale at 4, so glad to hear that. Sounds like arriving 2-3 hours early is what I'll have to do. That's not so bad. And it might make more sense to even do it on a Tuesday! I'm assuming weekdays are at 12:30 too?

Thanks again!!!

I can't find that 12:30 start time anywhere, so I'm really glad you said that!!

It said 4pm for evening shows on the Armory site before but now it's been updated. I wouldn't have thought to check again but the box office told me of the change when I went to ask about opening night rush.

My friend and I did the rush for yesterday's (Sunday) matinee. We got to the theater at 6:45am and there were already 16 people in line. By 9am, the line was wrapped around the block. I'm not sure how many tickets were given out, but I can confirm at least 20. I felt so bad for the people arriving at 8am only to find a line of at least 30-40 people.

Rushed this yesterday. Got in line at 9:15 and was 32nd in line. At 12:30 they came and counted the first 30 and told everyone else to wait a few minutes because they may have more tickets. They only ended up having 5 more. The seats were all row R on the South side from what I saw.

I tried this finally today, getting there around 6 am, and was first in line, yay! :) No idea how many behind me got tix, though....the nice thing was, when it started to rain a bit, the Armory folks let us all move the line inside for a while (but then they kicked us back out when the rain stopped, doh. Macbeth rush? )

Are the rush seats okay?

They're not the best but it's $21 compared to upwards of $900 which tickets are going for on StubHub.

Just found out they're doing rush tickets so I'm elated! Do they definitely still do it for sold out performances? I'm thinking of trying next weekend but since that's closing weekend the line may be too insane :/

I believe they specifically don't sell a certain row in the theater online specifically for rush. I may be mistaken.

I rushed yesterday and got there a bit before 7. I was the 34th person in line and was the last to get a ticket.

There were people behind me who rushed the day before on Friday (they arrived late to the performance and there's no late seating, they lock the doors) and got there at 8 but were closer to the front of the line than on Saturday when they arrived at 7. I overheard that the people first in line got there at 4.

This Saturday there's two shows so you may have better luck but I say to get there by 6 to guarantee yourself a ticket. For a weekday, I'd think no latter than 7.

minx2- Yes I got tickets. The seats were literally the last row, and I had to constantly either sit up or lean over to see the majority of the show. But you paid $21 compared to $80 which is what the people in the row in front of you paid. So all in all it's worth it.

ultraviolet: thanks. yes, worth it just to be there since everything's sold out unless you're willing to pay over $1000 for scalped tickets. ha! i'm going to get in line friday am as early as possible, so we'll see what happens :)

I paid my brother twenty bucks to camp out and pick up a rush ticket for me for tonight's performance. He got to the Armory at 6 AM and was 24th in line. Get there real early folks!

we finally went last night. the first people in line got there around midnight or 2am. we ended up using a line waiting service- you pay people by the hour to wait in line for you. they got there at 4am and were about 16 people ahead of us. we got there at 9am to switch off with the line waiters. there were about 50-60 people total waiting, not sure how many got in. the seats were in the very last back row so it was a bit of a strain to see. also, the seating is on very hard concrete/stone benches with no back supports or armrests- you're basically perched for 2 hours. not too comfortable, but it's fine. no intermission- just straight through. but one of the best parts was the lead up to the show inside the armory and then walking through the henge into the arena. great theatrical experience. we got there at 715, so we were able to have a drink, walk through the clan rooms, etc. for those about to go, def get there before 730 if possible so you have time to do this before the show. have fun!
