I don't like this song for the simple fact that it kept Diana Ross & The Supremes' song, "Reflections" away from the top spot on Billboard Top Ten. It would have been there 11th number one hit.

Ironically the girls did a cover version of "Ode To Billie Joe" which was included on their "Reflections" album.
