I'm wondering if anyone knows any sources, books, movies, etc, that take place in one of the old actor hotels. Actors used to live in NYC in places like the Warwick Hotel and the Barbizon.

I know that Helene Hanff writes about them in her book "Underfoot in Show Business" and Carol Burnett has talked about her time in one, but I was wondering if there were any other sources that talked about them.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Arthur and Barbara Gelb's biographies of Eugene O'Neill talk at great length about what life in Broadway and on-the-road hotels was for O'Neill's father and brother (both actors) and mother. And, as you may well know, O'Neill himself addresses his family's actor hotel experiences in Long Day's Journey.
