I am planning a NYC trip 10/31-11/5 and want todo a few shows. I have my eye on Gentleman's Guide and Kinky Boots.

I am having a hard time finding shows that will be running during this time. Is there a good source to find future shows? The most current info I have found is only for the standard long running shows.

Will Tony success drive ticket sales up (i.e. should I buy now for definite shows)?

Thanks!

Playbill.com has a list of upcoming new shows for this fall. As far as what will be running, most musicals have open runs, meaning essentially that they will continue to run as long as they're making money. Kinky Boots will almost definitely be running in the fall. It won the Tony last year, so it shouldn't be affected positively or negatively by this year's awards. As far as Gentleman's Guide, I don't know if it will be running in the fall. It seemed to be just maintaining before the Tony nominations and then saw a financial surge with all of its nominations. If it wins several awards, it may run a few more months or a few more years. Who knows?

As far as your question about tickets, I would buy early for the shows you absolutely have to see. Kinky Boots is on and off at TKTS, so I would recommend buying early for that show especially.

Thanks for the info!

I had not seen that section on playbill.com, helpful, but I was thinking more of a comopehensive list of al the shows available for future dates/weeks. Kind of like there current "listing" section, that shows this weeks shows. This type of resource might not exist though Fall 2014 Broadway Trip advice

I did see "It's Only a Play" on playbill section you recommended. That sounded like something we might be interested in, will have to keep an eye on it as I'm sure tickets will be difficult to get.

My pleasure!

As far as a comprehensive list, Broadway.com used to have an "On Sale Through" heading on individual show pages, but I just looked and didn't see it there anymore. Some shows probably have tickets on sale for your dates now. If they don't, it doesn't mean the show is closing: just that a new block of tickets hasn't been released.
